Wow, Maw, Schnauzers are so easy to fool with Velveeta... I cannot imagine getting a pill down a cat! Good luck! Hope you get an answer on the knee. I know the surgery to remove bits and pieces of cartilege has gotten really quick and efficient - several people I used to work with had it done and walked out afterwards! :)
I'm having a sorta relaxed Monday - people keep coming and going at work. Tried to get an answer on an issue and the two people downstairs produced a whole comedy routine (unwittingly and without seeing the humor themselves) by each disclaiming any knowledge of the topic! My boss and I came back upstairs and had a quiet laughing fit. My oh my... I worked out an answer with the help of two different people, but there's a SNL skit in there somewhere!
I took the boys to get groomed today and just dropped them off at home all naked and purty! They'll be happy sleeping off the morning's excitement so I'm going to run a couple of errands after work. I need to start looking for a birthday card for my mom - not an easy thing to do. I can't get her one of the sentimental ones so I have to look for a funny one. Wish me luck!
Gail, enjoy some sun for me! It's dark, gloomy and damp here...
Joan, good luck with the knee replacement!
Anasari, I always think of Monday as a chance to hit the reset button...!

I finally went in and saw the doc this morning about my sore knee and leg, after a few days of much worse pain. I've put it off because I knew that by the time I got there I would have worked the kinks out and he wouldn't be able to see anything wrong. Which happened, of course. So he asked me if there was something I could do to make it go "crunch" (my description, not his), so I should him. He practically jumped it crunched so loud! He thinks I have some torn cartilege in it and should see an orthopedic specialist. The doc he suggested has no openings until 5/9, and the other surgeons are about the same, but I was able to get an appointment to see a non-surgeon in the Orthopedic Specialists group next Monday. I will be glad to get it fixed, or at least to find out what can or should be done. It's gotten to the point that sitting in a straight chair for an hour puts pressure on something and makes it hurt, and just walking across the parking lot makes it feel like a bad case of shin splints. And I look like an old lady when I get up as I work the kinks out of my leg. But at least I can get up and I can walk on it, so it could be a whole lot worse.
The cat smartened up and won't take pills in Pill Pockets or in cream cheese or in Velveeta. She manages to get off most of the good stuff and leave the rest. She's supposed to take three pills a day, sometimes four, so I'm looking for an easy way to give them to her. She's not thrilled about having them ground up and put in her wet food, either. What a nuisance she is!
Other than that, not much going on today. Worked at the homeless shelter this morning, then out to breakfast, then to the doctor, then home and fighting with the cat.
had a horsey morning--gave them their worming medicine, had the farrier trim their hooves, brushed the filthy beasts (it's shedding season) and just had a nice couple hours in the sunshine with them. now, time for some lunch and then back to work.
..I've been missing in action for awhile, and lurking at the knee/hip replacement team. Surgery for my new knee is a week away. Today was good. Bacon and eggs, coffee with H&H. Lunch is boiled cabbage and Italian sausage.

Good morning! I was horrid about exercise this weekend, but I was really good about sticking to my plan, so it's better than being bad in both categories. I will do better today - I always like Monday, because it gives me a new week and new resolve to do my best!
Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn’t.
Let's get with the program, folks! We can't rely on Suzanne to start the conversation EVERY day, lol!
Back to work after a hectic weekend - got much done except for relaxation. Still running tonight as well. :[ Meh.
First really warm day here so I took a walk outside at lunchtime. Nice break!
Have a great day, all!
