aah, easter monday. some places are open, some are not. i was surprised the bank was open. but, the vet's not. hmmm. i am feeling like it's a holiday, but, i am working. go figure. the weather is beautiful. i have to run out and get some hay for the horses. then, i think i'll relax this evening. to benefit my 14.5 yr old border collie, i am reading a book of homemade dog food recipes for dogs with kidney problems (exciting, i know). lots of the recipes use macaroni or egg noodles. since we are a wheat free family, we won't be using those ones. he had acupuncture yesterday (supposed to help flush toxins) and i have spent a bunch of money on herbal supplements. what we won't do for our pets!
I worked a good part of the weekend, and I went to bed so tired last night that I fell asleep on top of my bed after letting the boys out at 1:30 a.m. for a potty trip! I heard Whiskey thumping on the door and woke up with a start at 3:00!!! OMG I felt horrible! They did not want to go out this morning as I was leaving for work (gee, lack of trust??) but they finally did. I am hoping my favorite client does not call me to come work with him tonight - I just want to go home and apologize to my poor boys!! I know they will have forgotten about it but if I walk them and fuss over them that will ease my guilt... :)
There's a chunk of beef in the crockpot and I have fresh spinach for a salad. Dinner's looking good - I hope the boys are enjoying the scent wafting out of the crockpot... LOL

Ho hum. Monday. Wish I had more vacation days left, I'da definitely taken one today.
Finished the last of the painting in my sons' room. Yes, five years later and it's finally done. *eyeroll* Pitiful.
I still need to "help them" declutter some shelves, but I am washing my hands of the project finally. I really want to work on my bedroom this spring and summer, even though the kitchen and bath are pretty high priority as well. I spend most of my time at home in my room (we don't have a family room or den or finished basement and I don't like TV much anymore), and it's never been given the attention it truly deserves. Well, this is the year! And at least I don't have to wait until someone's out of town to work on it!
Have a great day all!

January is Shiny Sink Month. February is Declutter Month.
I am a little frustrated as well. I traveled to my family this past weekend and really kept quite strict with my eating and turned away all sweets and homemade rolls etc. and still put on 2 pounds. I think I just had too many veggies even though low carb ones. I even had some wine but I think it was pretty low carb as well.
Oh well I am getting on the Road to Success challenge and will be on my way to the next point of my journey. I will get there hopefully with no flat tires, repapir needs or collisions.

Hey all I'm back had a wonderful vacation! Ate way to much! I didn't eat bread but I ate everything else! So today I am back on track!!! It amazes me how fast the weight goes on but how long it takes to take off! It looks to me that I may never be able to eat food like this again, nor even occasionally , not only did I gain a substantial amour of weight but I felt like crap usually within 30 min of eating! Oh well it's the past this is today ! And it's new!!
