He knows that he did not put anywhere near his best effort into preparing for it. He is very gifted in many areas and is so used to skating on his natural abilities that he tends to think he can always pull a rabbit out of his hat. Well, sometimes you end up like Bullwinkle and you pull a lion out instead. "Presto!"
I think that he considers that this is just a matter of "Oh, well, I should have practiced a bit more", while I'm calling into question whether he really has the drive to actually succeed at a music degree in the long run. There's a big difference between going to college to study something you like and are interested in, like music, and having the passion and drive to actually excel at it. My own degree was in Public Communications/TV/Radio/Film - a competitive field if there ever was one! So even though I had the interest in the topics, I didn't have the fierce dedication and the thick skin you need to do well at it.
nuts are supposed to go in the fridge, so logic says to me almond flour should go in the fridge. and the flaxseed is in a fridge at the store when i buy it, so, again...fridge. i don't use these things enough, so, they sit around awhile and i feel better if they are in the fridge. as far as coconut flakes, i don't know. again, it sits around a long time and it fits into the container where this other stuff is. so fridge it is.
Are you supposed to keep the almond and/or coconut flours and flaxseed in the refrigerator? I have mine on the counter in air tight glass containers.
Today, I've been to the gym for my workout, with the grandkids in the daycare while I was doing it. Then back to my daughter's for lunch and nap. It is now peacefully quiet at 2:20pm. lol I've also been trying to sell my motorcycle and have two interested people contact me. I ended up buying another one last night, but the other guy is coming over to look at it on Saturday at 4pm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he wants to buy it. I could sure use the money right now. Tonight will be quiet, once I get home. Daughter is working until about 6pm. I do enjoy watching my grandkids though...just not on a full time basis!! lol Have a good evening everyone. And have a beautiful Easter Sunday.
don't know yet whether to take the day off or work. nice feeling. cleaned my fridge out last night and it was so nice to open it this morning and see it all sparkly and fresh. i corralled pickles and condiments in a clear plastic container and the bags of flaxseed, almond flour etc in another clear container. yesterday in my grocery shopping i bought almost all organic/free range foods. it just all looks so appetizing and healthy. today, i think i will clean a couple of cupboards that are starting to look junky and overstuffed.
Aw, Woubbie, that is too bad, but I am sure there are unknown blessings hidden in it somewhere. Sometimes it just takes hindsight and time to see how an apparent failure or disappointment was the catalyst to something far better. Hard to explain that to someone his age though... :(
I'm tired and crabby today and just had a stupid conversation with a coworker. He came back from a short business trip and wanted to know how to get reimbursed for his expenses. I printed him a copy of the expense report and he wanted to know why it didn't say that it was for employee reimbursements... Told him I thought that the term "Expense Report" in big letters across the top was self-explanatory and he told me I hadn't been in the corporate world very long. Um... he's not that stupid so I do not know what he wanted. Told him I was 51 years old, periodically worked with genuinely stupid people who understood what the term expense report meant and that I thought he'd be okay with a simplified form. Ay-yi-yi-yi...
We're having a salmon barbecue here today (all nine of us and one dude who is interviewing but wants more $$ than we're going to pay), and I do not feel like partying! I am headed to my non-paying medical spa client's office tonight for an evaluation of my skin so she can do a product/service trade in lieu of payment. :)
Just want to avoid argumentative, obtuse coworkers!! Still I take this over Woubbie's toxic dumba$$!! LOL

Friday morning here, just south of Portland Oregon. Rainy and cool, so it feels just like home, back in England. LOL
The farmhouse we'd been looking to rent now has another interested party. We had quite a few conditions, so if the other family gets it, I am okay with it. While it does seem ideal for us, if we don't get it, there will be something better out there for us - and we'll have more time to pack and save up for the move.
Stressing a little today - got to get my head back in the right place.
Got a letter yesterday - my eldest did not pass his music school audition to his first-choice school, and I'm not looking forward to his reaction when he gets home from his trip tomorrow. One more issue in need of a solution. *sigh* Certainly not the end of the world, but problematic nonetheless.
And my headset solution for my work problem doesn't work either. I tested it at home on the Mac and it works fine. Don't know if it's a corporate firewall thing or what. *shrugs* Oh well. Onward. A couple of good nights' sleep should help. We don't celebrate Easter for weeks yet, so I get to sleep in both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. I could certainly use it!
I am taking the boys to the petting zoo for Easter. Meeting some friends there too. Might try to take a walk at some point too. I could go this morning, but I actually don't feel like it, which is unusual for me. Hopefully it won't rain this afternoon. Burgers on the grill for lunch and dinner. Eggs for breakfast again.
