I think my protein is a bit higher as well, cause I like eating lots of cheeseburgers and steaks and chicken. After talking to Suzanne, though, the fattier the burger the better. That's about all she eats ! Apparently, the higher the fat intake, the more weight you lose.

I think I might try that Fat Fast too. I've written down all those recipes on that site that I liked. I figure as busy as I've been recently, it won't be any problem keeping the eating to a minimum! lol

My experience is almost identical to yours. I think I lost more though and gained a bit more back than you but since I screwed the results by eating some things I shouldn't have maybe I would have had a better result.

I did the fat fast for 5 days - I lost 5, gained back 2.5 when going back to induction. I expected to gain back some of it since from what I understand, that is typical. However, I am happy with the results since I had been in a stall for quite some time and this did finally help me lose!

Unfortunately, I might have even done better after going off the fast if I hadn't had a couple of uh-oh days in the last 2 weeks lol.....so although I am back on induction now, I have skewed the results of my experiment :( I will probably try the fat fast again in a couple of weeks, then be more disciplined when I go off of it and see what results I get when I do it properly.

I was a little hungry the first 2 days but after that I was fine....I looked hard for creative fat fast food ideas and it helped it not be bad at all :) Also, it helped me to get it thru my head about the importance of upping my fat intake, I now think I have been protein heavy in my ratios.

Hi, I would like to know how you are doing on the fat fast also. I need to go and write an update on that thread but have been so busy. I pretty much lost momentum with it going to my kids over last weekend. But will probably want to get back on. Lost but gained back a bit. Going down again.

Green-Willow: I've known about 'frying cheese' for awhile now. I love it!! Just kind of forgot about it for a bit, until I ran across that link on 'the Lighter Side'. I usually got and used the Queso Blanco which I found in Costco and Sam's Club. The Queso Fresno is more crumbly but still good. There is only a Sam's Club where I moved to and they have now discontinued stocking it. However, I found it nearby in a little Mexican/Latino grocery store. Yea! They didn't have the Blanco, but they did have the Fresno and another brand called..Para Freir Fresh Frying Cheese, made by Tia Angelita. I bought that one and fried it up in some butter, sprinkle a little garlic powder on them, and they tasted like heaven!! YUM! When taking them out of the pan, put them on some wax or parchment paper to cool just a bit.Good warm or cooled, and only zero to 1 carb per slice, depending on the brand/cheese.

BTW, how did you like and do on that Fat Fast 3-day thing? Or did you do the 5 day one? was it difficult? Worth it? Hard to eat almost nothing! lol ??

LOL I know, my imagination is running WILD! And how did I not know this? I have looked at these cheeses in my local Walmart for literally YEARS and wondered how to use them! Let me know how your results come out :) I'm thinking Mexican uses, Italian uses, BLTs....the list goes on lol

Thanks a lot for the temptation, right as I'm considering giving up dairy, LOL. I hope I can handle goat dairy, then I'll try this. I love baked Brie for special occasions. This sounds similar.

...but, you know... you can microwave it into "crackers." Now I'm wondering, too, how we could work it out to "grill" a slab/slice of cheese?!?

shame on you for stirring up my imagination!
I have several blocks of cheese here.
I'm gonna go wreck some pans!
