You are right. I'm not happy but not overwhelmed. My obsticals are usually doctors who want to take a trip around the world and still don't always get it right. Worse yet, through a pill for a symptom and not consider what all is happening.

I just watched a video (I do not like blood or cuts in skin) but I watched it. This group in Tampa are pretty interesting. Not much blood, fast surgery, checked all parathyroid glans while they were in the neck.

I've been treated for thyroid for two years which looking back on records should have been considered years before. I know I have a small cyst. According to this parathyroid group I've just looked at in Tampa FL, a Lot of folks don't get diagnoised correctly or get treatment correctly. I can honestly say if my doctors go in this direction..I've got a bunch of knowledge already andI have a head full of questions to ask.

A fib is basically an irregular heart beat when the muscle doesn't squeeze the blood efficiently to move the blood properly. Parathyroid issues can be dealt with and it doesn't have to be scary, I don't think, anyway. I believe it is treatable poss with surgery??? Or maybe meds. Just be a good consumer. Ask lots of questions and if you need to ask for a second opinion.

After listening and reading about Parathyroid disease I'm not too comfortable right now. I checked my calcium level for two years and it shows high "normal" but according to what I just read...high. 9.1 is what is read with 10.3 is top in "normal'.

Thanks to you both for this information.

Last weeks visit (where the High BP showed it's ugly face)..is the first time my doctor mentioned congestive heart. What he said was he was prescribing a BP med that will also relax my heart muscle and remove excess fluid around my heart. I do not know how he determined this. To my knowledge I don't have afib..I believe that is where your heart skips a beat?

I requested C Reactive Protein test.

I'm not swelling in ankles..not short of breath.

I did just see lesions in my foot bones (another issue not related) which took me by surprise. I'll be talking to this doctor the following week. He didn't seem as interested in the lesions as I did.

I was thinking the same thing about the parathyroid. Vitamin D too low, calcium too high. Can be or cause heart issues. I there is a connection with too low vitamin D leaching calcium from the bones, not sure how that connects with the heart but I know when they see too high calcium they watch for heart stuff. I saw an endocrinologist. He was concerned about parathyroid probs. I was dehydrated and low on vit d. He prescribed a supplement and made me stop the lasix. Another thought was afib and congestive heart failure. Has that been checked out?

I have a family member who has up and down blood pressure due to parathyroid tumors. Have you talked to an endocrinologist?

When my son died in 2001 my BP when stroke high. I went on two different BP meds at same time for about 3 years. Then I built my health back up and slowly took myself off of the 8 meds I ended up on.

For 7 years I've monitored BP daily and it will start to go up for no apparent reason (150's/90's) then back down for no apparent reason.(130's/70's)

Last week I went to doctor (who has been unhappy about NKetogenic eating for a year. Doctor says he expects to see me in a coffin. WELL my BP was 212/112 last week. Then Friday while on meds, my BP rose to 201/101 at 9:30pm. It was back to normal an hr later. Next morning it was 139/68.

I had been seeing BP rise over last few weeks...but not like this....My BP cup is right on target with doctors. When I went back on BP med, dr gave warning..if heart beat drops under 60 let him know. Heart Beat went to 42. Settled down at 45. Dr says if I feel dizzy come back.

QUESTION: I am having MTHFR gene checked (my request) My Vit D won't stay up and since med 30's my Vit B has been low. B runs 350 now so Dr says it is fine. I don't agree but am reading that High BP and low B's could be due to MTHFR mutation gene. Does anyone know anything about MTHFR...or unstable high blood pressure issues?

I feel like my head is in confusion and I want other insite from like minded ....
