Debb, I am so glad for you... :)

I had a long, full day. I'm tired from working and shoveling paper like a maniac all day and then I went to Costco to get a flat tired repaired and Tire Guy #1 told me that if it wasn't fixable (too close to the sidewall) they'd "require" me to buy FOUR tires since I have an AWD vehicle. That really ticked me off - those tires only have about 20K miles on them and should have a lot of life left in them. And the word "require" sorta tipped me over the edge. Told him that I would be "required" to go to Les Schwab should that happen, and now my tire is fixed! Hope it holds. Tire Guy #2 gave me a slightly better explanation for four new tires, but still not good enough.

I think I need an evening to myself... :) Tomorrow evening and Friday evening belong to me and the boys!!

I'm thrilled for you Debb! It was a long wait but consider that in the US you wouldn't even have gotten it at all unless you were fortunate enough to have a job with good health care coverage, or were broke enough to get Medicaid. As you said, the process is a lot of hard work but the results will be so rewarding! Get those little grey cells going!

Finally met with my therapist/counselor today! Wow, it's been over 2 years since I was put on the list... sheesh!

Anyway, I really like her and she feels "right" for me. I can tell she is experienced and I felt so incredibly comfortable opening up right away. I'll be seeing her every Tuesday (barring emergencies or vacations and such), and am so looking forward to getting to the bottom of my "stuff" - I know it will be very hard work, but I am ready to do it.

That said, my food has been clean today, first time in well over a week (again). Chicken for breakfast and lunch (lots left over) and am going to do my dinner steak right now.

Had coffee and heavy cream midday, and will have another in about 2 hours or so, as my nightcap. :)

I'll be in America in just over 3 weeks now - can't wait to see my family again!

Hope you're all having a super Tuesday!

Hugs,
Debb

I was just reading someone else's blog recently (Laura Dolson, maybe) and she did a fat fast every other day for a number of years. I guess it would be along the lines of Intermittent Fasting at that point.

He is talked about in this article. Pretty good. It seems to be about limiting protein, which I was probably having too much of, and adding fats.

Faith, check into Jimmy Moore and his nutritional ketosis. It's similar to a fat fast. At least, he shoots for 80+ % fat. And he's been doing it for over a year and has not had any health problems. I don't know if he limits calories or just makes sure that he has a high enough fat %.

Good Morning Ladies, It is raining here and a bit cold but not compared to other places in the good ole USA. Enjoyed another omelet in a big measure glass cup in the microwave for breakfast. Going to have a almond milk smoothie with pumpkin for lunch.

I am thoroughly enjoying reading the Living Bible this year. Each year I pick a different translation. It is hard to believe that reading 1 hour or less before going to work each day that not even the last day of February that I am starting Isaiah. I will have read the whole bible in less than 4 months at this rate.

I am a faithful watcher of Biggest Loser and enjoying all the twists and turns to what they are experiencing while losing weight.

I really want to conquer being able to eat Low Carb for life and not just whenever. I have only 40 days until I go on my solo cruise and want to weight much less than now. Any more suggestions?

LOVE from Above, Georgie

Hi everyone. Still doing the fat fast. Down a little over a pound again today. I wonder how long one could stay on the fat fast if they could handle the small amount of food??? I like losing quickly like this. I also wonder how long it would keep working and if at some point it would be dangerous.
Just thoughts.

Have a good day everyone.

Rats! Phooey! Etc.! I made a big pot of turkey bone broth in my crockpot. It's been going for about 36 hours so should be full of lots of good minerals and all that stuff, plus of course the wonderful flavor. I've used this same crockpot several times before to make broth, and with no problem. This morning it didn't seem quite as hot as usual, so I checked the temperature. 142 degrees! Yikes! That's way too low, especially for it to have been sitting around at that temperature for so long. So I have to throw it all out. %#&*@%#!

Other than that, It's raining, sometimes hard, but at least it's rain and not the ice they're supposed to be getting just north of here. I'll spend the morning at the library, and may go to class tonight and may not. We'll see how my leg does at the library. It's quite a trek to the class, plus sitting for about three hours. I got my paper finished last night, and other than possibly tweaking it a bit, it's ready to submit electronically.

Have a great day everyone!
