Gail, take comfort that your Grandma is in heaven with God, and looking down on you. I hope your precious memories bring you peace.

Rain is back here today and my daughter just called to say she was sick. Looks like I'll be going over to her place to take care of the kids while she rests up. On the way back later, I'll stop by Walmart to pick up something I forgot yesterday. I swear! I think I live in that place!! lol

Hugs to you, Gail. I'm glad the funeral went well. Take care of yourself!

it's midnite. i just feel the need to say hey all! had my gramma's funeral today. i am terrible about these things. i basically lost it as soon as we stepped into the funeral home. i wasn't sure i could make it through the service. but, of course, i did. it was a really good funeral really. lots of people came and the minister knew her. i sniffled through it, but, contained myself.
the reception after was supposed to be sandwiches. but, turned out to be all sweets--muffins, streudel, banana bread, all that crap. i never liked that ever, but, now that i don't eat wheat, i certainly don't touch that. so, i had no problem resisting. i had some fruit and a bit of cheese. but, now i am quite hungry. i think i am going to eat the topping off a pizza slice. that was dinner last night--pizza toppings and a caesar salad.
anyway, just wanted to say hey..........just feeling a bit lonesome after everybody left i guess.
cheers,
gail

Gail

Just a quick check-in; it's nearly 10:30 pm here *yawn*

My food is still awful, I am sad and embarrassed to admit. But I am here.

I meet my therapist tomorrow morning. FINALLY getting to see someone. Sure has been a long 2+ years.

Will let you know how it goes.

Hope you are all well, and smiling.

This really does that for me. The portions are small and I eat only at my set times, but I would think that you could adjust for what you want to do. Like figure out what you want your portions to be, like I have some ziplock disp containters or tupperware in a one cup size. Use those or whatever size you want and just put your meals in the size container that you want. I plant ahead and only eat what I have portioned out. You could eat only when really hungry if you can figure that out or at a set time.

I got off to a slowish start today. I dusted my bedroom and in working on the nightstand I apparently turned the volume on my clock radio WAY down... I woke up an hour late, but still made it to work! No workout, however, so I'm taking it as a message from the Universe that I needed the sleep... :)

Tonight after work I have to run over to a client's workplace (which is about a mile from my house) and clean-up, catch-up, or tune-up his bookkeeping - he only calls me when he needs me but he's also freakishly competent so it's usually never as bad as he thinks it is and he's wildly entertaining as well. I'll take the boys and let them hang out in the car for entertainment in lieu of a walk.

I will probably be home by 7:00 and then there's leftover ground beef/eggplant casserole for dinner so I can relax and purge my brain of noise. So far, if the weather is decent, I should be able to walk the boys Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday after work - I miss our regular walks.

Faith, glad you made it through day one! I think my brain needs to be reset as well relative to portions, frequency of feedings, etc, but I haven't figured out how to do that!

Maw, glad your knee and Tanny are both better.

Good going, Faith!

Just another cruddy day in paradise here. Busy, but not killing-myself busy.

Have choir practice tonight. Hope no one has a boatload of homework!

OK. Back to flinging paper!

Maw...super glad to hear that things are going better for you and Tanny!! Sounds like you have a little bit of Spring there!! The sun is actually shining here today as well, but still chilly and about 46 degrees. Went with my daughter to drop off my 2 grandsons at daycare. This will be Rylan's (2) first day! Had to see (my baby) off on his 'first time'. lol Aiden(4) went there before, but now he's going to be with the 'big' kids. lol They sat them down at a round table with other kids to play with leggos. Of course, within minutes, Aiden and Rylan were already fighting with each other over the leggos. I think Rylan should do ok, but Aiden might still need some lessons in sharing and other things. lol

Maw..took my cat over to the vet to have his glucose checked and it was fine!! So I no longer have to give him insulin shots every morning! Yea!

So, today is a good day for me as well!!

Hi, well I did day one of a fat fast yesterday. It went well. Was hungry a couple of times but not that bad. I was looking at the clock a lot as to the next time I could eat. It really was a very small amount of food. I will be figuring out what food lasts me the longest. My scale is already down to my lowest number ever. Finally I am 80 lbs down. I do know that whatever I go down during this fast that it might go back up a couple when I go back to induction mode.

This is good for me on a couple of levels. I really did need to get a grip on portion control and eating only when I am hungry. This does show me what it really feels like to be truelly hungry.

Have a good day everyone.

Glad to hear things are looking up, 'MAW!

I have no set plans for today. I have some things I should do, and probably will...but right now I'm just cruising. I know for certain (barring some emergency!) that I will NOT be going out. I went on a spree with a friend on Friday and *my* knee is still chastising me for that overindulgence. C'est la vie. We had a good time. ;-)

Other than that....well, classwork. Following up with appointments. Hoping to do my "oughtas" so I can rewards myself with my "wannas."

Nice day here, although the forecast is for rain and a slight cooling over the next few days. It's humid out there right now -- can't even open the place up!
sigh

Have a happy and productive day, everyone!

Today I will be at work from 9 - 5, and back to church from 5- 6:45 help with prepartion, serving and clean up for Celebrate Recovery. The meal is Ham and that I know I can have but not sure of the other foods, always pass up desserts and then at my home for "Walk to Emmaus" Reunion group from 7:00 to 8:30. So, I'll be occupied until 8:30 where I will relax and enjoy "The Biggest Loser" that I taped and get on my treadmill during the show. I do go home for lunch from 1:15 to 1:45, I have about 20 minutes to eat and watch some tv. I'm thinking of having a omelet in a cup. I'll put in 2 blended eggs, cheese, pepperoni in a large coffee cup and put it in the microwave for a fluffy omelet. A Healthy day to you all.

OK, today I have a reflexology appointment, so that should be relaxing. And Wednesday I am going to the first appointment for the laser correction on my eyes. I cannot wait to get rid of my glasses.

Thanks for your concern about my knee, everyone. It was better yesterday and is better this morning, so I'm going to wait and see before going to the doctor. Besides which, I have a paper due tomorrow night that I've barely started the reading for! Tomorrow morning I'll be at the library working and I'll see what that does to my knee. If I get the paper done today, which is a possibility, I may go to the doctor after the library.

Tanny, my cat, also seems to be better. Still throwing up some, but then that's what cats do. She is eating and drinking and seems to have more energy than she did a few days ago when I was so worried.

So, all in all, things are going well. And the sun is shining and it's supposed to get up to about 50 and the tulips and daffodils are up (with buds but not blooms yet) and I saw my first robin. It's a great day!
