My usual Sunday routine, I go to the early service at 8:30 with modern music and communion every Sunday. Then I had practice at 9:30 in the sanctuary for the 11:00 service choir, then at 10:00 went to Sunday School and back to choir practice at 10:30 and into the second service at 11:00. After church went to Foodlion to pick up some pet supplies, dog food and cat litter. I also noticed the cleareance on Valentines Candy which I didn't have then. I bought a package of 12 heart peeps and ate them for my breakfast after church. I also bought chocolate chips that were mixed with red ones. I had a Tbs of them with a Tbs of mixed nuts for a snack. I know not low carb. I then returned back to church at 4:30 for choir practice, working on the Easter Cantada. My choir director is real fun and awesome to see her orchestrate. Her body really gets into it and I have to hold myself back from getting hysterical. I finished the day with a tortilla with turkey bacon, cheese, tomatoe and mayo. That was delicious. This morning I just had almond milk with pumpkin and a Tbs of brown sugar for a healthy smoothie.
Budgetmaw, it sounds like what my girlfriend had, a tiny piece of bone got dislodged due to an injury and had to have surgery to remove it. I pray all will be well for you. Let us know what the doctor says.

Had a nice day. Didn't do church today - recuperating from yesterday's trip, and slept in till 9am.
I picked up our choir director at noon and brought him to our house for Sunday dinner. Then he and my older son got to work on the next phase of the Senior Project. My son has been learning to direct a choir, and today the two of them fired up the computer and composed/rewrote a piece of music that my son will teach the choir and direct on Pascha (Easter). It went really well and we all enjoyed the relaxed time together. The director is a really interesting guy. He doesn't get out much these days so I think he enjoyed the socializing (and the cats!)
Maw, I would get to the doctors' tomorrow and have them take a look/xray. Your symptoms are kinda scary.
I used to go to Walmart's just for their frozen Asparagus stir-fry veggies. I think it was their Great Value brand...had red and yellow peppers, surprising amt of asparagus and like 1.89 a 16 oz bag. Haven't seen it there lately. 'Would chop them into smaller pieces and put in my scrambled eggs..dee-lish..
It is hard for me to get out of Walmart for less than $100. Which is why I try not to go unless I really need too.

Joan....give it a couple of days! That carb attack you had will probably show up on your scale then. It usually takes a day or two to show. As long as you got back on the 'low carb' train today, and don't start a binging spree, don't beat yourself up about it. We are all human and can't help ourselves sometimes to give in to our temptations!
I did end up going out to Walmart today since the sun finally came out. Went in for some lettuce and about 5 other things, and came out with about 20!!! Never fails!! LOL
I really went off the reservation yesterday...At a Polish restaurant I had city chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, cucumbers and sour cream and about 5 pcs of rye bread...(I couldn't stop...it was like a runaway car(b) or something...LOL...) For supper I had two big pork chops...I dreaded getting on the scale this morning...but lo and behold I was down .6 pounds...
Today I had 3 small scrambled eggs with mushrooms, onions, bacon and pepper-jack cheese. Supper will be Polish sausage and boiled cabbage...
Maw...I think it might be a good idea to have your doctor take a look at that knee of yours. You don't want to mess it up any further and should try to stay off that leg. I've had a few friends that happened to and should have had an xray or something sooner, rather than later. Putting their weight on it only made it worse.
Another rainy day here today. So it will be an inside day again. Cool with me, because then I can get some of my fav recipes organized and work on my trip details to CA this May. I'm so excited! I've been trying to get out there for over 30 yrs, but something always came up. I even have a sister who lives out there now. Going to stay with her for part of it, then travel up the coast to San Fran and look around.
I really liked what the scale had to say this morning! It said I had lost 8 pounds - overnight! Unfortunately, after I took the battery out and rubbed it a bit and put it back in the scale said I had only lost 1.2 pounds. I like the first number a whole lot better (though the second is nice, too) but I have a feeling the second reading is more accurate.
My knee is really sore. Last night I had to dig out my aunt's walker because I couldn't put my weight on me knee. This morning I started out with the walker, then it went "crunch" and now it's just a bit sore. I don't know what's wrong with it. A bit of something floating around in the joint where it doesn't belong? At any rate, I'm staying home and not doing anything. Except work on the paper that's due Tuesday evening that I haven't even started reading the book for, and cooking the turkey I got out of the freezer a few days ago.
My husband and son come home this morning, they lost, but had a really good time. I will be home waiting for the phone guy to come, our home phone is not working. I will also make it to the grocery store at some point.
