TDWANDD2MYK9 I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My mom passed 6 years ago last Saturday.
With pistachio nuts I have to be careful to sort of measure them and try to eat only one tbsp at a time. Then drink some water and see if that's enough. it usually is enough to get to meal time, or two hours whichever is first. . hope that helps.

Thanks. I am eating a few wheat and gluten free crackers, other than that, Meat/Fish Fruit and Veg, but when my stomach thinks my throat has been cut, I am picking at Pistachio nuts, any idea if there Okay?

20 - 25 net carbs a day, carbs minus the fiber. Try to stick with meat and veg as much as possible.

Do what you need to get through....

I am sorry for your loss. Good for you, taking care of yourself in spite of your grief.

The important thing right now is not so much how many carbs but which carbs. Stay completely away from sugar, flour in any form (bread, pasta, noodles, pancakes, baked goods, etc.), grains of any kind, natural sweeteners of any kind (honey, molasses, brown sugar, etc.), and potatoes. If you steer clear of these and eat lots of veggies and meat, you'll be on the right track until things settle down for you.

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's death.

How many carbs is a very individual thing. Dr. Atkins' Induction phase is 20 carbs, 15 coming from vegetables primarily leafy greens. Most folks are under 50 g as they continue beyond Induction if they are following that program. There are many low carb programs though and bodies react a number of ways.

Hope that is helpful.

I am starting my ticker again since starting low carb.
