Yes, 15 miles wouldn't be a problem for me either - considering the closest Trader Joe's is more like 180 miles!

Anyone know if they sell loose leaf tea?

Thanks Moxie, sounds like a good store to shop in.

Russell, 15 miles (24 km for us) does not seem far to me. But I live in the country and travel 25 km daily (one way) to work and to go to the largest supermarket for shopping it is 50 km in the other direction which we do weekly or stretch it to fortnightly. So I guess I am used to traveling.

Closest one near me is about 15 miles away.

Thanks, everyone! I have a list of things to look for to try and am also going to compare prices on some things that I buy regularly here like coconut oil and stevia.

Oh, and chemical free bacon! I get the ends and pieces since they are cheaper.

Yes, Trader Joe's is a small grocery chain. The are cheaper than a lot of natural food stores, have a large number of private label products. They also are known to treat their employees well. They also have very good customer service.

Australia doesn't have a Trader Joes; I'm guessing it is like a supermarket?

I buy a fair amount...particular fav is their bagged nuts and seeds, nut butters, tuna, organic produce, frozen fish and dishwasher detergent and hand cream. I'm also getting organic stevia extract now too. And I buy wine for my hubby!

We don't have a Trader Joe's nearby. I shop mostly at our local food co-op.

I don't go there because it is not convenient for me to get there. But when I used to go there they had a lot of frozen things that I like one being salmon patties. I think they were just straight salmon but shaped like burgers. Don't know if they still have them or not.

I shop there a lot, but I guess I never really think of foods as "LC" or "not LC"! It's just stuff I eat or don't eat! There are a lot of fun things there. I can pick and choose some of the premade salads, and there's a good selection of fresh veggies. I also like to buy nuts and dairy there, but I'm trying not to eat a lot of either. I like the creamy almond butter with sea salt, but I think there are several varieties. There's a fun cheese section if you eat cheese! Otherwise, it's just a great market!

I have heard good things about Trader Joe's but unfortunately don't live near one. However, we are heading to Omaha this weekend and I am planning on checking it out. For those who shop there, what are your favorite low carb foods to buy there?
