Took 3 ounces of shredded chicken, added 1 TBS of Walden Farms zero BBQ sauce.
Nuked it and ate it very slowly along with hot tea with whipping cream and Truvia.
Very satisfying.

KETO coffee worked for breakfast, had cheese for lunch, 2 eggs with cheese for dinner and having black tea with 3 TBS of whipping cream.
Not too bad for re-setting metabolism.

Mixed 1 TBS organic coconut oil with large egg yolk,
Made a 'pancake' out of the mixture and served it with 1 slice of very crispy bacon.

Can you tell I am on the fat flash diet?
I can.

I got a monster zucchini at the Farmers Market last week and have been having that for breakfast. I grate up a bunch and chop some onion and cook that up with a brat that I've taken out of the casing broken up into little pieces. When that's all done and the excess liquid has evaporated I add a couple of eggs and scramble it all up together.

I've added coconut milk and unsweetened chocolate to my breakfast, or actually all day long. It's wonderful. I bought Hershey's 100% cocoa as a stop gap before my 5 lb organic cocoa arrives. It's not sweet and the coconut fat helps out satiety. This is after my usual 2 eggs and 1 oz nuts, I still fell that I could eat more. The coconut/choco drink takes care of that. I take it warm like coffee.

Haven't shopped for the week yet, so I had a leftover baked pork chop. I sliced it up very thinly so I could eat it cold with my coffee and cream.

It was baked using Penzey's Northwoods seasoning, so it has a hint of at least 5 spices and herbs.

I'm pretty much sold on this experiment of low carb breakfast. I can have my carbs at lunch and dinner. This is what I would recommend to anyone whether they do low carb or not. Make breakfast the most important meal of the day by going low carb instead of self-destruction first thing in the morning.

Hawkthree, No food police here. Of course, it makes sense to skip what doesn't work for you. Not everyone can eat anything. There is this Asian vegetable that grows in swamp land. It's stringy and if one is not used to it, one would choke eating it the first few times. Some foods require training.

Maw, the TIME's cover on eating fat is huge. I was quite surprised they did it. Kudos to TIME. This is the turning point, it's going mainstream in the next few years.

Thanks for caring enough to respond.

I hate egg yolks; they make me upchuck. Goes back to pregnancy nausea.

I chose neufchatel not because it's low fat but it has fewer calories. I do eat low carb, just way too many calories. So I'm working to to reduce calorie intake.

I do make my own yogurt and use either cream or half and half. Usually hjalf and half because the dairy can't be ultra-pasturized and I fined it nearly impossible to find simple pasteurized cream -- it all seems to be ultra-pasteurized to increase the shelf life.

A sliced ham (lunch meat kind, all I had thawed), cheddar, mushroom and spinach quiche seasoned with a spoonful of English mustard. YUM! It wasn't over-cheesed. Although I like cheese, some of the recipes on Linda's LC are a bit rich even for a fat eater like me.

Hawkthree, please don't take these comments wrong. You are welcome here whether you follow all the same dietary and nutritional ideas as we do. Please don't let us scare you off!

Did you see the Time's front page article about eating fat, Skater? It wasn't exactly a whole-hearted endorsement, but came pretty close!

Thank you Maw. I didn't know about the cheese, but I was thinking what happened to the yolks. I thought that she would have been better off throwing out the whites and eat the yolks. That's where the nutrients and cholesterol are. The body needs good raw materials like cholesterol and animal saturated fats to produce hormones such as testosterone. Without testosterone, we're talking major wrinkle city here as losing layers of skin accelerates. People are aging prematurely because of bad dietary advice from the governments and low fat high carb experts.

I know you didn't ask for advice, Hawkthree, but you're going to get it anyway! :)

I noticed that you're eating egg whites and neufchatel cheese, both of which are low fat. Many of us have found that it doesn't work to combine low fat with low carb. They work in the body in competing ways and tend to work against each other instead of with each other. In fact, many of us intentionally add extra fat to help us lose weight.

Just something to consider if your weight loss slows down. Way to go on your loss to date, by the way!

Based on this interview with John Keifer, I'll save any carb for later on in the day. For breakfast, I'll avoid carb as much as I can.

eggs scrambled in drippings with the last of the Spam (I tried it to see if it would work in an emergency food pack and I think it will - as long as I can fry it!) and some cheese.

emoticon to the team ABISMITHY. Don't forget vegetables as an option in your egg scramble. Mushrooms, onions, peppers, and black olives work too.

I just started today:

2 large eggs with 1oz cheese - supposed to be an omelette but it got kind of scrambled.

Need to go shopping for some ham/bacon...
