Thank you both for your replies! I am pretty active now--I'm doing Supreme 90, do yoga and pilates several times a week, zumba, and also a bootcamp style class, plus running. I was doing the bootcamp twice a week, just recently dropped down to once a week when I added in S90.

I'm going to go ahead and let my friend know that we can do the hike that day!

I think it depends on how regularly you are active now? I wasn't really training and had only been working out a couple days a week when I did WD in July, but I wasn't sore at all and would have been fine going for a hike the next day.

I think it also depends on how hard you push yourself through the course. We finished in 55 minutes - and there was a lot of walking because we had vowed that the 4 of us would finish together and one of us was really struggling after not getting much sleep the night before. But if you are fairly active now, I think you could do it!

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I was pretty sore, but think I could have gone hiking the next day and actually thought about doing that and would probably have done so if I hadn't pulled my quad at warrior dash. Was jumping the first fire and didn't jump high enough and really felt the flames(wasnt burned or anything) but then was scared for the second fire and way over compensated. Really hurled my self over it and pulled my quad. Been only a few days and I'm back to hiking and p90x already, waiting a full week before starting running again.

For those who have already taken part in the Warrior Dash, how sore were you the next day? I am doing the Dash on October 1st, and we have some friends who want to go hiking on October 2nd. I don't expect the hiking to be very strenuous or fast paced, but am I crazy for thinking I can do both back to back? Thanks for any advice/input!
