2 positive steps lead to more positive steps!!!!

I'm working on it-my wife is in the hospital so it's a little stressful and tough to workout between visits but I am eating healthy and getting workouts in!!!

I have joined in SP's challenge for the month of April to eat a healthy breakfast and/or exercise in the mornings. So far, I have had a healthy breakfast 3 mornings and got in 1 am workout. Yesterday I didn't work out but today I did but not until about an hour ago.

Did you do your kettle ball workout?!?!?! emoticon

I feel guilty sometimes when I don't workout because I know alot of people manage to do both. I'm not trying to say anything about you, just me. So, I understand about you not wanting to workout, because when I was working, I know I didn't either.
Yesterday, I got in 30mins. I didn't even sit and wait even that was the plan. I was so proud of myself. And then I got on the Wii today to weigh myself, I lost 3.1 lbs!!!! YEA!!!

I've been struggling with my workouts lately. I haven't had the energy to start them so they are a no go but today, during the race, I will do something. I will have 3-4 hours to do something and I WILL!!!!

Great job on the workout!!!!

I bought a beat-up 15# KB last night. All of the weights at Sports Authority were 20% off and the manager gave us another 25% off to take this one home. The list price was $39.99 and we got it for $23.99! I am not ready for it yet, but I will be soon!

I only ate 1000 calories yesterday and I don't know why. I know I must've missed something but I went over and over it. Even asked my wife if she saw me eat anything that I didn't read off and she only said about the bite of cheesecake. I even did a SP workout last night. I was so tired yesterday and didn't want to workout until I watched The Biggest Loser and I have really been following Danni cuz her story reminds me of me and I could feel her pain. I was seeing their transformations and thought, yea, they did it in 2 months, but I don't have that opportunity. Then I thought, No, I don't have their opportunity, but I have my own. So, I logged into SP and worked out!!!

Well, I've gained 1.6 lbs in the past week. emoticon But I am making more conscious choices today and I am going to actually track my food on the computer instead of my head. I forget what I eat if I don't track it on sp. emoticon

I've had a migraine for the past 5 days and have done nothing. I just ate a whole sleeve of Ritz crackers (headache meds turned the stomach). I have no energy about making the right choices and it's not just because of the migraine.

Since I worked out on Tuesday, I have been on a downward slope. emoticon I have been drinking nothing but Coke and pre-sweetened iced tea. Then yesterday, I-me and I have no idea why!!! emoticon -I suggested Blizzards from Dairy Queen!! emoticon My sister and I were texting the other day and she said a quote that I forgot about, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." I have 130 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. That's a LOT of weight. I have to refocus and rededicate myself to this journey.

I hope you feel better soon. Do you have anything to take for it? My sis-in-law takes some kind of prescription but I have no idea what. I'm not sure it helps all that much though because she still ends up on the couch for a couple of days. She also has 4 boys (well, 5 if you include her husband LOL)
I worked out today and I feel good for it.

I'd love to learn how to box for real. I play boxing on the Wii and Xbox Kinect but it's just computer simulated and it is a workout. I love it. My friend told me that after her gastric bypass, she started exercising and what she found that she liked was boxing. She has a great body to prove it!!

First boxing lesson today! BF found a bag that someone was going to throw away, I have pink boxing gloves (anti-cancer pink) that I bought when the local Sears store was closing. I keep hoping I will find something active to do that I will like. Maybe?

I walked for about 45 minutes during my lunch break today. It was a gorgeous day and I really enjoyed my turtle walk. I did have to sit for a few minutes several times - lower back started to stiffen up. On the way back, only one stop and less pain, so that was wonderful!

You can beat yourself up for it, or you can move forward, right? So pick one and chose wisely!!! emoticon

I didn't get as much exercise in yesterday as I wanted to because I wanted to watch Biggest Loser and I was using my Xbox to exercise and I can't do both at once. I know that is an excuse but I did get 15 mins in. Today, Coco and I started on extra long walks. He weighs almost 27 lbs. He's a pug and should weigh about half that!! So, I told my wife-she's is the one who does it-no more table scraps. She would give him an egg in the morning and then part of her plate at dinner. He doesn't seem very happy, but he's a dog, he'll get used to it. LOL Now, I just have to be as strict with myself!!!!

I have been overeating, too but I've been changing what I eat and that has helped. I'm still eating, but not calorie laden foods. You could give that a try. I've lost 2.6 lbs this past 5 days. I'm getting some exercise in.

I went WAY over on my calories yesterday and I'm on track to do the same today. emoticon
I've been doing 2 sets of some sort of strength training exercise when I come out of the bathroom to sneak in some extra exercise. Except for this last time. My belly was rolling with what sounded like water when I tried to do some crunches. So, I did 10. That's better than yesterday.
I weighed myself this morning and I gained 5.3 lbs. IN ONE WEEK!!!!! OMG!!!!!
I am bummed but I'm not going to let it get me down. I am going to push ahead because quitting is what got me here!!!!!!!

2.5 glasses and a huge lunch during a day long meeting. I am not hungry tonight, but I will get some more water in. May not make 8 (I do want to sleep tonight!), but it will be more than what I have consumed so far...

Before I really realized it, I fell of the bandwagon for an entire week! I did not step on the scale this morning - I know I gained. But I am tracking food and making better choices so far - though that's not much since it's breakfast time here! I am having an enforced no-choice lunch so I have no idea what to expect. Back-up plan. If it's really not something I need, I can eat fresh fruit and a granola bar.

Feel free to hold me accountable! emoticon

Good question! I'm keeping up my exercise program, but I'm falling down on the food intake. I eat good foods, but too much. I need to work on portion control again.

Spring is about 4 weeks away. What are you going to do to get ready to wear fewer layers of clothing?
