DroppinPounds, welcome to SparkPeople! I have actually been on here since 2008, but really losing the weight now. The support system here is wonderful. Feel free to post any questions and our members would be more than happy to answer. Venting is also an option ;)

Hi! New to Sparkpeople!

I need to lose at least 30-45lbs! I am the Queen of Yo-Yo!! I do great and lose weight and then just get too comfortable and gain it back. the vicious cycle remains. So...I decided to join SparkPeople and try to live healthy for good!

I work full time and have two kids and my husband travels mon-friday. So everything falls on me...all meals...pack lunches, drop kids off to school & daycare, running kids to practice, doing laundry, cleaning etc. So naturally...working out is always a challenge for time and sleep! But my excuses are many and progress is light...another reason for my joining!

At any rate...Here is too working and working out!!!!!!! I really feel ready and hope the motivation can last! This site looks great so I am excited! emoticon

My name is Rene' and I joined Spark about 2 years ago and then life took over and I couldn't access this as much as I'd have liked to but I'm back! I've lost 45lbs so far and still have another 20 to go to reach my goal.

I work full time and so does my husband but he has crazy hours and is away more than he's home. I have to drop off my son (he's 3) at daycare at 6am to be at work for 6:30 and my in-laws pick him up at 3:30 but then I end up working until 4 or 5 and then I have to come home and figure out what's for dinner, exercise, give Nick a bath and figure out what's for lunch the next day and get him in bed by 8 so he can wake up at 5:30 to start the day all over again. I try to take Sunday's to cook for the week but it doesn't always work out. I hate not packing my lunch ~ I end up walking across the street to Wegmans and get a sub.

I feel guilty that I leave him with my in-laws so I can work out (I also instruct a Zumba class on Wednesday's) even though they say they don't mind. He's been without me all day and he hardly sees his dad.

These last 20lbs are ending up being the hardest to get rid of! I'm hoping it will be easier with the nicer weather and longer daylight hours.
