I will give this challenge a try. My goal is to walk 500,000 steps as per my fitbit in the next 63 days and to log my food at least 55 of the next 60 days. I actually log my food on a different site but I will count that.

Good evening everyone and Happy Saturday 10/27/12 emoticon

It is Saturday, and I went grocery shopping for califlower and the like and even purchased a food processor by black and decker. This weekend I am going to make pizza from califlower. I am so excited as I continue my NEW journey of making healthier choices.

Thus far in these past 7 days I have given up bread and replaced it with lettuce. :)
And on the weekends, I go pick up a large pizza for myself at the pizza place but
instead I went online to look for healthier substitutes and found one. It is making a pie crust out of cauliflower. I was amazed.

MY goal = is to choose foods during this challenge that do NOT raise the blood sugar in my body and then take it one step further than the 72 days and make it a lifetime plan.

It is a goal that is really working so far.

Today with my continues eating plan..... I started walking emoticon

I joined the walking team at work and thought I was gonnna dieeeeeee emoticon

but I kept up the pace, hard labored breathing, left hip area screaming and all. emoticon but I made it.... of course it is only day 1 of walking.

Will be walking every Tuesday and Thursday with the work team. emoticon

Because we cannot keep doing the same things all the time

and expecting different results...

so if we want change,

then we have to make a change in our lives. emoticon

Good morning everyone and Happy Tuesday 10/23/12 emoticon

yawning, woke up late this morning but thats okay :)

Last night I had the urge for a hamburger that is cooked on a barbegue grill, so I drove to a hamburger place at 1am and ordered me a hamburger with cheese, lettuce, onions and tomato with NO BUN and I got it home and it was wrapped up so pretty and was absolutely delicious, yeh!!!!!

emoticon I am so happy that I was able to endulge in a craving and STILL stay on point, wow!

I mean it is day 4 and I am still ON plan with no cheats and that my friends IS a miracle!
It is making me feel like I can actually COMPLETE this 72 day challenge, yeh!!!

emoticon 10/21/12 = Sunday, it will be only 71 days left until 2013.
emoticon 10/20/12 = Sat. Did you know that we only have 72 days left until 2013?


Today is day 3 of the Challenge and I am getting a bit nervous inside.
why? Because I do not have a good track record of sticking to something
and I think that I am going to fail again ...
but somehow this is 'different' and I am pleased about that... just a lil nervous is all.

DAY 71 = 10/21/12 sunday

1 lap aournd the park


breakfast:
eggs, sausage, bacon bits, cooked in butter
onions and green peppers and real bacon bits
water

snack: 1pm
2 oz of cream cheese and pork skins

snack: 3pm
cream cheese and pork skins

snack: 7pm
2 handfuls of green grapes

***** I call small tiny meals "snacks" because it is so small. I am not used to eating small but day two on my journey, I do not find a need to stuff myself until oblivion any more. So i really like the small meals too.

what am I going to do at 7:30am on a Saturday?

72 Days left Until 2013!

Wow, it is 72 days until 2013...... where did the time go?

emoticon TIME stands still for no one.

so... I have to ask: HOW are you going to spend these last few 72 days left?

Will you just goof off and think: I will start on Jan 1st?

or

Will you plan today, right now, this very moment to do something specktacular in these remaining 72 days until 2013 flourishes a new dawn?


My answer: I choose the later one.


To take the bull by the horns with NO excuses, NO delays and make a change.

How will I accomplish this?

By counting back-wards, so I will "see" how many days to the finish line emoticon
It makes it fun to set short goals and see where you are headed and that is what I will do...

am I nervous about it? yes as I am not usually a person who sticks around a plan for more than a week but this time will be different.... emoticon

why? Because knowledge IS power

Because knowledge IS empowering.

what inspired me?

lately in these past few days I have been reading an article from the NEW YORK TIMES.
Yes I said days... to read one article... because the man talked a lot!
and because it was really interesting reading:

Do you know what this feels like?
It feels like the day after Thanksgiving and we are standing in front of the stores in an internal panice realizing we only have a few more hours until they open the doors and thinking to ourselves: OPEN, OPEN, OPEN! so we can HURRY and catch all the sales in that small, tiny, time period. LOL

so why not DO something about it together? :-) it is a brief challenge so we can do this!
