kept myself busy over the montyh, and did not have the success i had hoped. i do pretty well for most things, but i overeat and drink too much pop. i will have to be more awared of my eating especially eith my road trips.

My calroie tange is still too high, its not by lits of stuff. it tends to be one or 2 extra things get ne over. i am struggling more with my mental control. i get crabby and mentally tired during the day, it is causing me to loose focus and make stupid mistakes and i am waiting for something to blow up on me.

Got up and got out first thing this morning. Forgot my watch, so I couldn't do the C25k. But then I decided to just go with it - ran for 2.5 songs on the MP3, walked for 1.5. Next time I'll try to up it to running for 3, walking for one....... feel great right now, hopefully the thigh won't tighten up later on.

Friday I went for a lovely run, and Saturday I woke up in pain. Must have pulled a muscle somewhere. It was hard to walk earlier, but it's loosening up as the day goes on. Tried to do some yoga early this am, but was way to stiff to do it. I may try again this evening - possibly with a less intense DVD.

Sunday I'm up early for a run (or slow jog depending on the pain level) and then off to Vegas for my cousin's wedding. While we are there we'll shop for an inexpensive laptop for my son to take up to scout camp. I figure he needs a way to stay in touch with his friends since he'll be there 10 weeks.

Friday - woke up with a miserable headache, but since I've blown off walking all week I dragged myself out the door and into the sunshine. I don't know if it was the birds chirping, or the frogs singing or the sun shining, but somewhere along the trail I started feeling a little better about the world. Got to the bottom of the slick rock and broke into a jog. Ended up doing the C25k W5,D2 I've been putting off all week. The little dog kept up pretty well, while we were on the trail she was off leash and could trot along at her pace which worked well. Still eating to much, but it's all very good for me food, so hopefully I can work out this portion thing soon.

Tuesday: Got the dogs out for a 5 mile walk, and had every intention of doing boot camp in the evening. But... end of school concert and son's BS physical for camp (and summer employment interview) threw a wrench in those plans. Dinner ended up being McDonalds since it was after 9 pm, and I stil had a 30 min drive home.

Wednesday: My inner Goddess has left the building. No workout, lots of eating. It never really rained, but it drizzled all day, which was enough for me to keep the dogs in, afraid if I did go out it would finally start to pour. I didn't workout, I just watched TV. I think I need to disconnect the cable! I did squeeze in a trip clothes shopping and got several pieces on sale. I'm excited about that. But it also was a wake up call about how much farther I have to go on this journey, and that the progress I thought I had seen wasn't that significant.

Thursday:
I woke up feeling a litle sorry for myself. And it's going to be another "MOM!" day. The princess has already started. It's her last week at elementary school, she starts at the middle school next year, and is trying to make these last few days precious. I admire her spirit, but honestly, I'm tired of being her 24/7 chauffer/maid/cook/driver. Plus DS leaves in 10 days for his summer job away from home, and he doesn't seem motivated to get his stuff together. Not usually much of a problem, but I don't think it's sunk in that I will be 5 hours away and won't be available to just drop off any thing he forgets to pack. Maybe it's the bad eating that has my mood so sour. I think I will have a nice bowl of oatmeal, then go for an extra long walk with the dogs. That may perk me up. I sure hope so!

Monday 5/16 - I started with many good intentions, followed by that urgent call from the Princess that she forgot her violin, so off Mom goes to the school to drop it off. Somewhere in that 15 min roundtrip I lost every bit of motivation I had mustered. Spent most of the day flopped on the couch watching re-runs on TV - didn't even pick up a book to read! The afternoon brought huge hunger pangs, and I ate until I wasn't hungry any more. That was alot of food. I'm blaming hormones, it's that week of the month when I don't want to do anything but eat. I can celebrate having made a menu plan for the week, getting my daughters GS registration sorted out, grocery shopping, doing 5 loads of laundry and mopping the floors in the kitchen. Oh, and I found a flight for Hubs to SoCal next month - considerably cheaper than the one he was looking at. I guess the day wasn't a total waste, but definately not fitness inspired or moving me towards my goals.

Thursday has disappeared - I didn't track anything, and I can't remember for the life of me what I did that day....... Weirdness.

Friday I got up early (but not as early as I wanted) and took the dogs for a short walk then came home & did abs before driving to SLC for my son's karate tournament.

Saturday - quick yoga & some abs in the hotel room while waiting to head back to the tourney.

Sunday - nada - zippo - zilch! I was going to do abs before we left hotel, but that didn't work out. I was going to walk the dogs when I got home, but it was to warm out for them. I was going to do the arm video I missed on Sat, but I got busy with laundry (and I was reading a good book ::blush::)

I am thrilled because I made mostly good food choices all weekend (to much of them, but good for me) and have contiued my no alcohol streak - 40 days and counting!

So Today I'm Back At It - I will finish the Spring Into Shape For Summer boot camp, and I hope to repeat it - Hubs & I planned a week in SoCal for June 25-July 1!

Wednesday - did everything but eat in my calorie range. I said no to that soda that was calling my name in the afternoon. I wanted it bad, but I resisted. 10 points.

i have been weak lately. i have been stressed out about finances, things breaking that take time and money to fix. i have not been focued on my oals. i have been giving myself too many exused to not stick with my goals.

i will work it out and get my motivation back.

Monday - Crappy day all around - got laid off at work, had to go to a volunteer appreciation dinner, had Boy Scout stuff piling up. Weird thing is I still worked out (HipHop Abs + Kickboxing Video) and ate in my range. Maybe it wasn't such a bad day after all (9 points)

Tuesday - First full day home and I loved it. Walked the dogs 5 miles, did the Spring Into Shape video for the day, cleaned house, shopped a little, even watched a movie. And I went to boot camp in the evening and I almost kept up! WooHOo!!! (10 points)

Sunday - 4 points,
I was stiff & sore from bootcamp & Ironman all day Saturday, and honestly I didn't care about anything. Ate the cookies I got at a bake sale, and ordered in pizza, cuz I forgot to cook dinner ::oops:: Oh well, I't a new day & I"m back at it now.
