Hmmm... let's see... is it pms? Are you getting enough protein? Are you eating enough? Are you thirsty? Desiring salt might mean your body wants to retain water.
Not sure if you have tried this, can't remember who I mentioned it to, but when I am craving salty/crunchy.. I get a variety of veggies.. peppers, cukes, carrots, and dip them in homemade ranch dip made with full or lowfat greek yogurt. I make it with the Hidden Valley powder, but FP4H makes her own... not sure how.
Sometimes cravings do sneak in there, but it is your body trying to tell you it needs something, and sometimes, it is just our old nature trying to sneak back in control!! See if you can nail down where the craving is originating from, and how you can best TREAT it, without strengthening your "giving in" muscles. Stay in control, think & act mindfully. Sometimes just giving it a 5 minute rest.. visualizing yourself as you want to be - this can really help the cravings to just pass.
