Well last time around I never had any problems in cycle one. Last night I had a horrid stomache and ended up having my husband pick up a 7Up for me.

Ya know, I've been meaning to figure out the whole cost thing (but seriously, who has the time... I'm way too busy)... but I'm not so sure that it's more expensive to eat this way.

#1, I'm saving the money I KNOW I used to spend driving through the fast food chains
#2, I'm actually saving money on drugs for pain and doctors visits (I have NOT, and I'm looking for wood to knock on as I type this, been sick ONCE since I've started this diet)
#3, I'm really finding the cheapest fruits and veggies to eat... so I am trying to go the cheap route...

Like I said... I haven't really checked to see if this is cheaper... but I'm not entirely convinced that it's more expensive... I know that I've eaten out less than one handful of times since I've started this diet 9 months ago and probably used to eat out maybe once a month before.. well, seriously, that right there probably proves that this diet is cheaper lol The cost of dining out is ridiculous.

So, who knows. But, GROCERIES, now, that is ridiculous... it does seem to cost an arm and a leg these days... I don't disagree with you there!

Your smoothie sounds great!

So excited about the 17 Day Diet. It has truly taught me new ways of eating and being healthy. Although I've not followed the daily cycles since I finished Cycle 2 at the start, I do tend to choose only foods from all three cycles. I incorporate the added carbs as I can and we are living a 17 DD Inspired life! Getting us to goal!

So far so good :-)
Yesterday I made some yummy chicken that was marinated in tomato basil and olive oil and had green beans and a salad with it. Lunch was some canned tuna (bleh) and celery. Only did not get my probiotics in.
On a side note...just why does eating healthy have to be so much more expensive??

Have to share, today I made a smoothie for a morning snack with Green tea (made strong 1 1/2 cups water and 6 tea bags), 2 cups of mixed frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries), and 2 packs of stevia (made 2 servings--one is in the fridge for tomorrow). Added a little bit of ice and even though I know its not cycle 1 half a banana (last time I kept getting leg cramps during cycle 1 bananas help me with that so...)
It is yummy!! If anyone is having issues with green tea they should try this

If it were me, I would still eat them. The red ones would have more antioxidants but I don't think they are too much different. To be honest--I had not noticed only red were listed either! Opps! emoticon

Thanks for all the support. And for those that are restarting good luck and we got this!!!

I am on Day 3 today and so far so good. I feel good - a little hungry but good :) Need to bring back more veggies when I go home at lunch so i have something to snack on later. One small problem. I bought green grapes instead of red. I thought green were ok but when I got home I saw it was just red grapes on the list.

I know I am not supposed to weigh myself daily but I am one of those people and as of this morning I am down 2.2 pounds since Saturday. I need to weigh myself to keep me motivated. I will try every other maybe :)

First Round - Started June 23, 2012

Hi Daisy,

I'm restarting today too! I lost a bunch of weight last year with 17DD and gained all but three pounds back. So here we go! We can definitely do this! You know it works and you know you can do it! My husband and I are both in and we are sort of helping out our son do it as well, he just doesn't know it. We are getting rid of all of the food we can't and don't want to eat (at least that's what we're telling ourselves) and we're trying to be 100% compliant. Started today off with that amazing (not really that amazing) lemon water and a couple of boiled eggs. Also decided to really try to be compliant this time and drink green tea...not my favorite, but I'm doing it. Just getting ready to have some red grapes as my first snack...brought tons of veggies to work with me today and made a dip out of plain greek yogurt.

Daisy, I'm in! You can do this too!!!

Happy Monday!

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.

Oh Sunni! Sounds like you've been through the wringer and on an emotional roller coaster! HUGS and prayers for all you have been going through.

Thinking of you and glad you have compliant things in your freezer to make that part the easiest of all!

I'm also getting ready to restart! Had good luck in the summer then with my sister's illness and stress of dealing with that (and being at the hospital for extended periods) then her death followed closely by her daughter's wedding and a trip out of state for it, then the holidays....well...let's just say I desperately need a do over! So working up a menu plan right now (luckily the only things in my freezer meat wise are chicken breasts and ground turkey).

emoticon I had trouble getting back into a Cycle 1 mindset also so I had stayed on cycle 3. I got derailed in there somewhere too--- briefly! LOL! I went back on Cycle 1 on the 2nd and I think my head is finally back in the right mindset! Everyone hang in there!

Hi Daisy!

I was literally in the same boat in November... I had done C1 and C2 a few months before stopped mid way through C2 cause of a vacation. and of course gained about 10 pounds and was very depressed.. I knew I wanted to and had to restart but everyday I said tomorrow... Then I finally stuck to my start date and now I'm on C3 and down 20 pounds! I honestly realized that the most difficult part was starting! Getting day one done.. and then you start losing weight and feeling fab and its just soo amazing and easy!!

Hope all goes well for you.. You've been through it before so you know how amazing it feels ones you're on the plan...

GOOOD LUCK!!! emoticon

You are going to do fine because you have already set a start date...don't worry about what you may or may not have gained...just get back on track...be happy with yourself TODAY because you have already committed to eating healthier...just go to the grocery store and have the things you need...YOU CAN DO THIS...I have to tell myself that all the time and just jump back in when I feel that I have been "astray"...getting back on track and eating healthier will make you feel better in a matter of moments not days...just have what you need at your house and get rid of what you know you do not need...out of sight ...out of mind...you can do anything for 17 days!!!!!!!

I am a little nervous about restarting tomorrow. I successfully finished C1 & C2 back in the summer (C3 was a struggle for me). I tried to restart a couple months ago but just couldnt get into it and had a harder time giving up the carbs. I have to weigh myself tomorrow morning but I'm pretty sure I have gain 10 pounds since Oct - NOT GOOD (haven't adjusted my weight here)!! I am so unhappy with myself and see myself falling back into my old patterns. I need to nip this now.

I will be back on this board often for motivation!
Happy New Year everyone
