All of the organics I have found have the probiotics. Just look for "live cultures" and you are good to go! I buy Trader Joe's version.

Ill have to look in my area and see. A change from yogurt would be nice. I love cottage cheese too!

The only one I can find around here is Friendship digestive health cottage cheese and even then it's hit or miss on whether they have it on the shelf.

emoticon Maria. I will look for that. I would prefer organic and the Breakstone isn't.

Now2Day - here is what I read online last night about the Horizon Organic CC so you have an alternative to the Breakstone.

Horizon Organic Cottage Cheese starts with fat free organic milk and pasteurized certified organic cream. It is enhanced with calcium and two live and active cultures, L. acidophilus and B. bifidus, which have been shown to help support a healthy intestinal tract. Horizon Organic cottage cheese is one of the few cottage cheeses available that adds calcium back to replace what is naturally lost in processing. Horizon Organic cottage cheese is available in 16-ounce containers ($3.79) with Regular and Reduced Fat options. www.horizonorganic.com

@NOW2DAY, Breakstone has cottage cheese with probiotics and it says "Live Active for Digestive Health" on the label. I bought a 4-pack that were each 1/2 cup. I've never come across any other brands that contain probiotics. It's a nice alternative to yogurt.

I've never been able to find any of the cottage cheese with probiotics either. And they don't sell the Breakstone or Horizon in my area either. Too bad for us, I guess!

I am no expert since I just started this week, but I was reading about this exact question last night. The dairy in the book is very confusing to me so I did some searching on my own. From what I found online most cottage cheeses DON"T have probiotocs! That was news to me for sure! Only the Breakstone CC recommended in the book and Horizon Organic seem to have the probiotics we need. Neither of these are available near me though.

I am interested to hear what anyone else thinks though because until last night I thought they all did too!

Does all cottage cheese have probiotics in it or will it say so on the container? I couldn't find anything listed on the label. What kind do you all buy? Thanks
