Why not try greek yogurt with fruit in it and some Stevia or Xylitol, I eat that and love it. Or try putting some sugar free fruit preserves in the plain yogurt, that is sweet too. But if you do eat the 35 cal yogurts, I would limit them to maybe 1 a day.

On page 226-27 they explain about sugar and substitutes. He just states truvia and stevia are probably better than other substitutes (not that they are) and as with all subs go easy on them.

I have used the activia as my snacks at night. At 35 cals a serving and I think 5mg of sugar even if I eat three (which I have done 1x) it is better than possible alternatives. I thought they were causing me cravings at one point but then realized it was just TOM. If you find they are causing cravings maybe switch to savoury (tzatziki) with veg.

Good luck and we will see you around after the holidays.

Terri

that makes sense. Is it the same for using Stevia and cocoa powder in greek yogurt? Thanks for responding to my question. Thinking I might not be "official" until 12/26.
Thanks again for your help. It looks like lots of you have been very successful on 17DD. Hoping it's the same for me. Cruise in 50 days emoticon

Technically it's not allowed because of the artificial sweetener; but if you knew people who successfully made it through all 3 rounds while eating it, then I would say it's up to you. I personally think you would be better off at least skipping it for the first 10 days while you cleanse your system and lose your cravings. You can also skip yogurt altogether and just take a probiotic supplement.

I'm just starting again on the 17 day diet (tried it over the summer but dropped out after 9 days due to vacation). Some people I know that were successful said you could eat Activia Light fruit flavored yogurt. Is that allowed? I have the book but can't seem to find the answer. I hoped to eat one of them and one serving of plain greek each day. This time I am trying not to use artificial sweeteners with the exception of 1 Activia Light if allowed since I am really sensitive to artificial sweeteners and find they take me down the sweet craving road. Thanks for your help; I'm trying to do things right this time.
