@spiritcatcher - I noticed that you posted the C1 shopping list, I am just starting Cycle 2 - and thought before I start typing I would ask if you had Cycle 2 shopping list. This was a great help when I started Cycle1.

Nice job with the list and hitting the highlights for those who have not been able to get books yet! As someone else mentioned, pork is not allowed on cycle 1, but you can have certain fish. I'm guessing you don't care for fish and omitted it from your shopping list? For those who do like it, the ones allowed in cycle one are: tuna (avoid albacore) in water, salmon (canned or fresh), tilapia, catfish, sole, and flounder.

As to someone's question, no, you don't have to eat all the vegetables. Those are the ones that are allowed, but you pick and choose what you like.

Someone else asked about Dr. Mike's power cookies. They are not allowed on cycle 1. That's only after you add back some carbs. The recipe looks great - can't wait to hit that point!

Do we have to eat all of those vegetables or can we pick and choose from the list? I like the majority of them but not all. Thanks!

That is VERY helpful!! I know the back log of the books is hard, but its a great way to get started efore your book arrives. Eatting right, avoiding the "No's", getting that water in and excercise is great!!!

I did a shopping list (below) which includes most of the goodies for the first 17 days. Hope this helpes everyone.

SHOPPING LIST - 17 DAY DIET(1)

VEGETABLES

Asparagus
Bell peppers
Broccoli
Brussels sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Cauliflower
Celery
Cucumbers
Green beans
Greens
Lettuce
Mushrooms
Onions
Parsley
Spinach
Tomatoes


FRUIT

Apples
Berries
Grapefruit
Oranges
Peaches
Pears
Plumbs
Prunes
Red grapes

DAIRY = yogurt Eggs Feta cheese

MEAT/PROTEIN = Chicken (inc patties, Turkey, Pork, Tuna


FROZEN ITEMS = Berries, Fruits, Vegetables


TEA - GREEN

Also, after doing a serch there are a number of sites that give a general overview which will give you a good idea until your books come in.

Also, begin each day with a cup of hot water and lemon and 8 glasses of water throughout the day.
