Hello all! I haven't been checking in here like I should be! I hope everyone is doing GREAT as we reach our 3 month point. Is everyone still going strong? In the past 3 months I sure have learned alot about myself! I've changed my lifestyle, I now crave exercise, and I've broken up with my scale! It lies. My masuring tape is WAAAAAY more truthful!

I lost another pound after 2 weeks of staying the same weight at least it is coming off and not going back on! That makes 16.5 pounds lost. emoticon

Congrats to all the lucky losers. I am hanging in there, trying to read my spark book. I am on chapter 2. I usually suck up reading like crazy, but I think weight watchers has burned me on weight loss books and stuff. I did manage to lose weight 7lbs to be exact. I need to track my intake and use this site more and learn as much as I can. it is cloudy and cold here, so dreary. My energy is zilch today. I cleaned about 2 shelves in a cupboard and that's the extent of that. I need to do better tomorrow. getting behind on my to do list.

Lost 3.5 pounds this week! emoticon I am starting to feel skinny again.

I was ready to see the scale spike up this week but it was good to me this week. I had a break up with my bf but am now seeing another guy lol. I figure why sit around and cry over spilt milk, it's his loss, and I'm going to enjoy myself no matter what. And if you have been through a lot of break ups like I have, it is easy as closing one door and opening the next.

The new guy is a very gorgeous, 36 year old Argentinian, fit/athletic build. We can talk to each other for hours. Only had a first date with him but he seems like a keeper so far!

I lost 2.5 pounds for this week! I am trying to follow the meal plan but sometimes it is just not possible when you work a 5am-3pm shift so I grab something to eat from Asian Chow or Subway they seem to have filling meals that are not so bad with calories. If I go out for a dinner I get chicken or fish to stick to my daily calorie allowance as much as possible. Almost into a size 14 I have 5-10 pounds more to go. I hope it goes quickly because my clothes are looking big on me but just can't fit into a smaller size yet, just stuck in the middle! emoticon lol

I am making progress! I had my weigh-in on Friday and I've lost two more pounds in two weeks. This is really good considering there was about a week that I lost myself and my goals because a lot of personal problems. I am getting back on track, however, and I'm eager to keep going.

I gained back a pound this week hopefully its just muscle building. Not a major set back but still not exactly happy about being a pound heavier than last week lol. Just have to work it off this week is all!

Hi Everyone

On last Sunday's weigh in I had 4.2 pounds from the previous week. It was a huge surprise. My total weight lose for April was 11 pounds. So excited about the lose. I pulled out a pant of jeans from last summer (not ready thinking they would fit) that I could not wear because of my waistline. Oh, those inches loss around the waistline has made a difference. I can zip the jeans. WOO HOO

This is the year to get to Oneunderland.

Good Sunday afternoon. I have had a rough week but I do have a victory as i lost 2 ibs this past week. my week has been an emotional rollercoaster but i am going on.

This week I lost a half pound. But I also did my measurements for the month I lost a whole 7 inches off of my waist! 3 1/2 inches off of my hips. 1 inch off both my thighs and arms! And 1/2 inch off of my calves and neck! So although the pounds are shedding more slowly than I had hoped, the inches are melting away! This is the best way to lose weight and build a better body. I just can't believe how easy it is! For those of you not recording your monthly measurements, I believe you should start because it really is a great motivator and also a good look at how your hard work is paying off. emoticon

Good grief! I went to the Doctor today and the scale said 240!!!! emoticon Thank goodness tomorrow is May 1st! I am going to try harder than ever. My highest weight ever was 250 which was last year at this time. I am going to have to hoof it more, as we say in the country, I have to move my walking sticks to the front door so I will see them and get motivated. If seeing that number on the scale isn't motivation enough!! I am going to be busy this afternoon, making fence on my farm. that will be good exercise, pounding posts in and stretching wire. I got my book "the Spark" in the mail yesterday and read some of it last night. So I am starting over tomorrow. thanks to all the support I have found here, I will be successful!! emoticon

As of Sunday I am 199 pounds! That is an 8 pound total loss for 2 weeks. I have been busy with work and getting my exercise in ... I walk 3.2 miles every other day and it seems to be working. I noticed that I have room in my pants where they used to be tight especially in the thigh and butt areas. I am getting excited about losing more weight in the upcoming weeks ahead! emoticon

Today marks 10 pounds lost for me!
I have noticed huge increases in my energy levels. Today I did my first hour long exercise and l feel amazing.

My immediate goal right now is to keep up the exercise and eat more fruits & vegetables daily. The later is proving a bit difficult though, I am up to at least 5 each day so thats good.

So far so good. This is the end of week three for me. Last week, I had lost 2 pounds. I don't get to weigh in until next Thursday when I meet with my dietitian. I am a little nervous, but excited at the same time. SparkPeople has been great and I am still trying to learn about all the cool things on the site. I want to work more on developing e-friendships with people to help myself stay motivated.

Fitness is good - I've been doing Zumba and walking as well as some strength training. I struggle to stay within my calorie limit, but I am coming very close. Hope all of my SP Classmates are doing well and hope that everyone keeps posting!

Things going pretty good. Yesterday I spent several hours at the beach in 91 degree weather and about 85% humidity. Was really drained when I got home didn't get my exercises in or my postings done. But it was fun

I can relate to the hip pain! I was thrown from a car back in '77' The MUD saved my life! But, now it acts up a lot! Some mornings I can barely stand!

I am overwhelmed by the messages and support system here. Much better than the "group"meeting I was attending and wasting money on. Even their forums were not like this. I am having trouble with my right hip where the joint and thigh bone meet. I got stuck in deep mud a few years ago and now it is starting to haunt me! I tried pulling my foot out of the muck and I could feel my bone trying to pull itself out of the socket!! I stopped and left the boots there and walked in the mud out of there. my boots were there for 2 weeks. the cows had a great time investigating them. my husband had to "dig" them out!! Talk about stuck! Now this winter it has started giving me trouble, anyone know of exercises that would help? I am trying to go up and down steps one foot on a step at a time instead of 2 on each step, like a little kid. that's where my trouble started. I am trying to increase water intake and walk more, but need to bring out the trekking poles, they have helped my knees in the past, maybe they would help the hip too? Nana

A week ago today i found SP and been addicted to it ever since. ;-)
I love it here.
I have lost 4 pounds since Friday ( at least i think i did. i didn't get a good scale until earlier this week and used my MIL's one on Friday...not sure how accurate it was.)....and i have lost 6 pounds all together since starting my life style changes and exercising a month ago ! :-)))

Still trying to get on track with the food and exercise, but I am for sure improving at the end of this week. Going to try some new challenges for next week, one I'm adding is the 5 fruits and veggies. After tracking for a week that seemed to be what stood out that I was lacking. Otherwise down 2.2 for the week and moving into another week.

Officially have completed my first week as well. I have to be honest... the first few days were kind of rough food wise. I wasn't really ready for a big change, but I've gotten better these past 3 days. I exercised more today than I have in 10 years as well, and I feel great!

I have completed my first week and the food has been great. Since I am 72 and have multiple medical problems, my main exercise is walking and some strength training. I think I am going to weight in once a week. When I weigh too often, I get frustrated. I look forward to getting to know you.

I have been using the site and meal plans for about a week. My start weight was 207 and my goal weight is 157. I have lost 6 pounds so far out of the 50 pounds I am planning to lose. I went for an hour walk yesterday the first time I have done any type of activity since I started dieting last week, but I hope to do this at least 2 maybe 3 times a week going forward. I was a little winded when I got back to the house after the walk but I felt good. Until next week... emoticon
