At the top of your food tracker you have to put in the servings of fruit/veg, just like you have to put in how many glasses of water you drink.
It would be nice if the tracker was smart and would just enter that for you, but it's not.

Hello, where do you go to see how many fruit/ veggie servings you're eating per day based on your food inputs?
TIA

How does everyone like the new food tracker?
I think it is much improved as it is easier to use.

While taking the Spark Quiz this morning I ran into this explanation of how it does matter what you eat vs staying in calorie range and eating whatever you want. One is better for weight loss than the other and is an explanation for a lot of frustration.

"Your body has many complex processes that determine when energy gets put into and taken out of storage (fat cells).
These processes are directly affected by what, when and how much you eat.

Eating a healthy, balanced diet will make it easier for your body to burn fat and prevent the food you eat from being stored as fat.

Whole, minimally processed foods and nutritionally-balanced meals are better than meals that are high in refined sugars, sodium, and/or processed grains.

It's much harder for your body to turn lean protein, fruits, veggies and whole grains into fat than it is to turn sugar and refined foods into fat, for example.

And more research is showing that a diet of whole foods is metabolized more efficiently than modern-day's processed food products, which may slow metabolism and lead to weight gain."

The profile picture & weight ticker are both related to your Sparkpage. Here is the "official" link to how to set both of those:

As for your friend, have you tried to find her on the Sparkpage "finder" option? When you go to the Sparkpages tab on here, enter her name in all caps in the "Username" area, and see if that works. Sometimes I have issues finding friends, and I'm not really sure why that happens.

Hope this helps!

Hi - I do have some questions, as I am new this week.
when I post my reply's and/or messages, my picture does not show up...what do I need to do so people know who is talking?

I have tried to find a friend who has given me her 'spark' name and cannot.

I also wonder how to get my weight tracker ticker thing on my posts like so many others have?

thanks
:)

As you are getting started on the site, you may develop questions about how something works, or where to find a specific feature of the site you see someone else talking about. This is the perfect place to post that question, and we will be happy to help you w/ the answer. You never know... there may be several other new members w/ the exact same question!
