Well done on your loss! That's awesome work!

I'm hoping for a good loss this week (I weigh myself on Fridays) even though I had a bad weekend foodwise... it could have been worse.

I am finding SP so motivating. It's such a good community. I'm doing more exercise than I have ever done before! I need a belt for my work pants!

Good luck and continued success everyone! Woo hoo everyone!!!

I'm down a size! I still have a lot of pain in my neck. I will have the doctor check that at my appointment 3/31. I will also weight that day. emoticon issues emoticon

Spinach is great.. you can have it raw in sandwiches or salads or steamed.
Asparagus... I like it steamed then I dry fry or bbq it.

I got up extra early and did my 10 minute walk it out work out DVD then dropped a drawer front on my toe and leg! It's soooo sore. I was hoping to go to a Circuit training class or do some wii fit if I have to mind the kids but if it's like this I won't be doing any of it! Thank goodness I got my 10 minutes beforehand!

I'm finding that instead of my night time snacks, if I make myself a cup of herbal tea it kind of takes the cravings away as I find food doesn't taste too good with herbal tea.

I am hoping to get as close to my goal by October when I visit family in Australia for a couple of weddings... I want to be able to buy a gorgeous and sexy - not frumpy - wedding outfit!

I'm hoping to hit the 30 lb mark by the end of the month - that gives me 10 days to lose 4 pounds (although weigh in day is tomorrow so it's *hopefully* less than that). After inputing all of my info, SP told me that I can be at my goal weight by December if I lose 10 lbs a month. I need to have that finish line in sight. I really hope that I can keep the momentum and not hit too many plateaus on the way. Wish me luck :)

I got down 10 pounds, but went back up 3 because of a mini-crisis in my life. Hopefully I can re-focus and get things back on track this week. Yesterday I spent 4 hours building a fence for a Habitat for Humanity house and it feels good to have sore muscles from that. :)

I'm down 10 lbs now, but I struggle with the strength training aspect of exercising. I may look into joining the YMCA, so I can get some instruction on the strength part (and extra motivation, as I am not self motivated in this regard). I wouldn't mind incorporating some Yoga and swimming into my exercise plan, too. Overall, doing well. emoticon

I'm excited for everyone and their losses. I have lost a total of 7lbs to date and I'm thrilled with the progress I've made so far. Thanks SP. I have noticed my appetite has decreased since staying within my caloric range, however I don't beat myself up when I go over. I just hop right back on and know one day won't defeat me. This is a lifestyle change and I'm learning new habits I know will help me reach my goals.

Wow! Congratulations! Well done on the loss, and to all you other losers out there!

Hard boiled eggs are a good way to increase protein and I find them pretty filling as a snack.

Iíve not had the best of weekends... bad food choices due to a party with wine. Whoops. However, Iím feeling confident in my abilities again and am considering going to a mild circuit training class at a local rec centre for the first time tonight. Iím a bit nervous as I havenít done anything like it before Ė although I did go to Curves for a while a couple of years ago so Iím thinking it will be a bit like that. Hopefully itís not super busy... and on the rec centre website it does say ďMildĒ... so hopefully itís for beginners.

I have been getting up at 5.30 to do my 10 minute walk it out workout DVD but didnít this morning. I should have got out of bed and done it as I was awake... Perhaps tonightís class will make up for it.

How is everyone else going? Do you find it more difficult to plan ahead at weekends? At least my personal weigh day is Friday!

12 pounds down and many more to go but I am really excited. I haven't felt this motivated or hopeful in a long time. I love this website and it is really weird that I have never heard of it before since it has been around for so long!

I have a hard time meeting my protein goals every day. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Congrats to everyone on their losses! I feel like I'm rocking this weight loss thing. I started Jan 1 but didn't join SP until Feb so the weight that I've lost dates back to the beginning of the year but as of today I'm almost down 23 pounds!!!! I've really just changed my eating habits. If you eat healthy foods, you can't help but to lost weight!!

I'm doing well despite some sore triceps. I lost 6 lbs since day 1 but put 2 of them back on--probably water weight because I haven't overeaten very much or very often and even then was only a couple of hundred calories over my goal. I'm exercising regularly too. I feel so much better and more energetic I'm not letting the scale discourage me. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Well done!

I did well yesterday. My friend came over last night to watch the Oscars, and instead of joining her, my partner and the kids in Pizza - I had a Lean Cuisine instead! I would have cooked something fresh but the pizza arrived too quickly so I had to use a diversion technique to stop myself from taking a slice!

I also am sticking to the minimum of 10 mins exercise per day.

I'm looking forward to warmer weather too!

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all having a good weekend?

I weighed myself yesterday and lost over 4lbs (2.3kgs). I was very pleased with myself! I think it's because it was my first week and I don't expect to lose anywhere near that much next weigh in.

However, it just shows me that tracking my food, making sure I do at least 10 minutes exercise a day, setting goals and drinking 8 glasses of water a day does work!

As a treat for myself, I just bought myself the Wii Fit plus with the balance board. I've wanted one for ages and it was on special at a drug store nearby. I've done 40 minutes and burnt 195 calories on it already!

No treats now until I lose 5kgs.

How is everyone else finding the scales?

Well done on the 4lbs! Great work!

I'm tracking and exercising (although only 10 mins per day but it's more than I was doing) and hoping for a result on the scale tomorrow.

Fingers crossed!

Hello,

I'm doing OK I think. I've been using the nutrition plan on my iPhone and I love how it works! It's keeping me honest!

I weighed myself properly on Saturday morning and I'm going to just weigh properly each Friday morning I think, as I am not at work then. I started slowly with the water and doing the exercise - 10 mins per day. On Saturday morning I started on the nutrition plan so hopefully I'll see some results on the scales this Friday.

Well done on the 5lbs! That's awesome!

Tallerant - I think you write well, I understand you perfectly well. You are starting well with posting to us! Glad to hear that your fitness starter kit is working for you. I bought the Cardio Blast DVD which I've used a couple of times. I also bought the other DVD from Coach Nicole but there's an error with it so Amazon are sending me a new one.

Perhaps you can look at some of the other teams and find one that fits you best. I'm also a member of 40+ with 50-99lbs to lose.... we get a daily challenge that I join, it's usually a specific exercise to do, which I'm finding works well for me.

And well done on the soda reduction program! And Good luck with your new baby!

Good luck everyone!

emoticon My clothes, some side belly skin and forearm skin are looser! emoticon emoticon on your 5 gone!
The nutrition tracker took me 3 days to record everything I ate.
I had to get my 10" in 2" increments-now I can go 5 or more at one time.
I ordered emoticon day 3 but it hasn't arrived yet.
So I ordered the fitness starter kit and love my stability ball. Its great for all the modifications I have to do for my disabilities.
My mantra is make fit happen and make it fun.
I think cause I pretty near hit bottom- everything seems like an up.
Could be the stress reduction I use everyday.
My biggest challenge is being involved in the community-They say its necessary for success and I suck at it. I write poorly and being raised a scapegoat,I prefer to be left alone. So I just try and toughen up and plod onward. emoticon

Congrats on the 5 pounds! I haven't lost anything, but I've only had one soda in 9 days and I've been drinking more water. I've also been more mindful of what I'm eating and drinking, so that's progress.

I have a 7 week old. I've been at the same weight since he was a week old. I'm not complaining since it's 7 pounds less than my pre-pregnancy weight, but it would be NICE to see the scale move down a bit.

5 pounds, that is awesome. I have been "trying" to lose 5 pounds for a year now. With the help of you and every sparkperson I meet, I am finally really going to...not try....but do it.
I have been watching my calories for 2 weeks now. Today, I start working out.
Keep up the great work.
