Just keep at it. I was hoping to get more exercise in this summer, but I have had the worst time. In a fit of gracefulness I broke my little toe on my right foot on 6/27. I couldn't put a shoe on two weeks--so walking my usual route was down the tubes. Couldn't jump rope either. My plan was to ride my bike to get the exercise in, but...
On July 1, I decided to take short cut on my usual bike route, got into some bad road and took the hide off my left leg. It is still healing, but I can't kneel down because to the huge, unsightly scab below my left kneecap. Needless to say the exercise hasn't been what I had hoped, but you just have to keep at it.
My husband says I need to go back to school where I am less of a hazard to myself.

It's so hard to get back on track. I tell myself I'm not going to do it this year (the holiday eating), and yet every year I can't stop. I did do well in between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but what I did over Christmas erased what I had lost! I've decided to pick one goal a week I want to work on: this week it's to weigh/measure all foods.

Was here in 2011 with good intentions - then wandered off the path - picked up some additional pounds I didn't have before - but found my way back the first of the year this year. Trying to not get inticed off the path by what feels good at the moment - and if I do to not continue wandering - but get back on the path!!!

I've hit a plateau right now. Things were going pretty good until school started. Now I am on the road to school before it is light and back home later so that by the time I am ready to walk it is dark. I don't like walking with a flashlight, but some sections of sidewalk around my neighborhood are too damaged to walk on without good lighting.
I know some of my eating is due to stress. I am dealing with my 94 year old father and his health is up and down. I am getting ready to be a grandmother for the second time, and I want to have 5 pounds gone by the time the baby is born at the end of the month. I just need to get up and get moving.

Not sure how I managed to get so far off track, but I gotta get my groove on again. I had a good start at the beginning of the year, and looking at my photos from Thanksgiving last year, and the pics I posted taaken this week, I can see the difference. I still have such a long way to go though.
I had such a good pace in the beginning, not stressing on how much I was losing or how fast, but focusing on making each meal count and staying within a reasonable calorie limit. As time passed, the weight was slowly coming off.
I stared small, looking at each meal/snack, one little success at a time. Then I added activity, a little more exercise, a little more regular. Before long I had established some good habits! Now my habits are so bad, I'm embarrassed to admit it.
So I am gearing up for change again, little by little if I have to. I have a family BBQ/reunion in 4 weeks' time. Going to set a mini goal of losing 5 lbs between now & then! Wish me luck!
