Update on hubby, he lost his job, and we've been super stressed, but with less money coming in, we're staying home, and really eating well. We have the time! He's been exercising a lot, and physically feels good, even if he's drained mentally. Always a silver lining!

Well, I've done a valiant job fighting a cold, it's lingering in the background, but I'm still winning! I've had a very stressful week, so this is a small win for me in a very crappy time. My husband is having a rough time at work, and has been suspended, so money is very tight. It's a good thing he's cute!!

I've had better days! I went to Panera for supper and ate a good meal, but the Cobblestone rolls were talking to me and I had one. The good thing was I was still in my calories for the day. No exercise for the day, I met friends to knit tonight after work. So, so day!

I'm just back from vacation, and feeling very relaxed. I did a really good job making healthy food choices, and played a lot of beach volleyball, but I drank waayy too much! My 7 day trip to Mexico turned into 7 days in Mexico and 2 days in Montreal since my flight was re-directed due to weather. Was a dicey end to the trip, but well worth it. I hope you're all doing well!

I skipped riding my bike on Monday, and then wanted to watch The Biggest Loser. So I allowed myself to watch, but only if I was active at each commercial break. At the commercials I did 25 squats, 25 crunches and 25 pushups. I stopped after the 8th commercial though, 200 pushups is too much!

Just finished two 12 hour shifts (11pm-11am) and am back to my normal 11pm-7am. I'm feeling oddly refreshed when I should feel exhausted. Must be all the good eats! Good nutrition pays off!

Good for you. My weekend has been screwed up due to having to travel out of town, only to have to turn around 90 miles from home and and head to Sioux Falls due to the icy conditions. Didn't get the rest of my exercise in and we ate out at 8:00 p.m. Today we had a meeting via video conferencing so everyone was passing snacks to eat. Lunch did not have a lot of healthy options. Argh.

I'm usually pretty good about watching what I eat, but the last two weeks I've been dynamite! I weighed myself today and was 66.7 kgs (147lbs)!! I haven't updated my weight yet, I want to see if it sticks... that's wrong isn't it? I'm usually not so pessimistic, but that's more than 6 pounds lost in two weeks!

Saw the doctor as a follow up from the hospital tests. The tests did not confirm what they thought as the problem. So now they want me to see a specialist in Sioux Falls, I really am not looking forward to that. I am not getting my exercise in which is frustrating me.

I am new to this chat. I have about 20 pounds to my goal. Have been at the same weight here for so long I am beginning to wonder if my scale is just stuck there. I keep at it. The changes in what I do and what I eat have been great. I just need to keep at it. My doctor has been concerned about my calcium levels. I go in for additional tests at the hospital this Friday. What a pain in the backside. I guess they are looking at my parathyroid. If it isn't one thing it's another.
Super job Jumpin. Hope you get those last four pounds off.

I didn't pop in yesterday, but I haven't totally forgotten about SP, since I'm back today. Yesterday the company that I work for did a re-structuring and 9 people lost their jobs, and 5 were offered retirement packages. So, needless to say, it was a rough day. It's difficult to say good-bye to friends. I'm trying my best to not let that derail me though. Luckily I have the support of you guys, right?

Wow, has it really been over a month since anyone's posted anything?? I guess summer really did get the best of us! I've been busy, but I'm still working out, and eating healthy, for the most part. My wedding is 16 days away, so I've been careful since I want to look rockin' in my dress! I'm awfully proud of you, Scott. I have been trying to eat better myself. My family joined a farm cooperative, and now we get a big bag of veggies every week--it makes me have to incorporate more veggies into my diet since I don't want them to go bad. I am trying to make time to exercise again, too. I have done a little each night, but not nearly as much as I was doing before. Just gotta keep taking those baby steps!

Took a week off from working out. They recommend every 5th week to stretch only that week. I only lost .2 this week. I'm just glad I didn't gain with not working out and not eating veggies as much. However I'm back at it and feeling great.

I wonder where everyone is. I hope you are doing well. I'm doing great. I've lost over 14 lbs and I now only take one blood pressure medicine instead of two. I can't do all of the workout yet, especially the jumps and floor stuff but I love the video's and what I can do. It's the "Insanity" DVD's.
Glad to see you JUMP I hope you get a new bike soon. I know what you mean about watching your son do sports. My son started Football conditioning last month and it is fun watching him.

Our only day off this week is today, so I must make the most of it. I really need to get groceries, and do laundry, etc. I'm also on the hunt for a new bike since mine got stolen. Rounding up receipts for the insurance claim isn't fun, but we had enough items stolen that it'll be worth it! Keep Sparking :)

Well I did my Insanity workout yestarday and today. My goal is to do 6 days this week. I can tell I'm getting stronger. Hope everyone comes back soon.

Hey teammates! Just dropping in to say hello to you guys. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Indepence Day is almost here. Does anyone have specific plans? As for me and my family, we have no specific plans. We'll probably just float along on that day... whatever moves us is what we will do. The only real plan I have is to stay within my calorie range... that's it.

Well I have been doing Insanity for a week and a half and I feel great. I weighed today and I was the lowest I've been in a year, which really isn't saying much. I can't really say how much I have lost because I found out the scales we use have been off for a couple a weeks and they are waiting for a tech to come calibrate it or replace it. Needless to say we used another type scale today. However I feel great and I can feel my stomach tighting up. Hope everyone is sparking

Looks like summer time and we are all busy and not chatting much. The kids just went home and I had them for a week. It was great having them and we had a real good week. Gabrielle worked part time all week which kept her busy. Caleb started Football practice. They only do conditioning and weight room on Wednesday and Friday. He was sore Thursday. But he worked thru it and had a good practice today. A lot of Ibuprophen and Bengay. I started doing Insanity every other day and I'm sore as well. I can't do it all right now especially the jumps, but according to my Heart Monitor I'm burning 300 calories so it's a start. Well I hope everyone is having a safe and blessed summer.

Good weekend here, lots of sunshine. I worked some, played ball, trucked my son to ball, and hockey. All and all a success :) We rescued a kitty yesterday afternoon, and he's taken tremendously to my son, who wants to name him Puddin'. He's a little cutie, and seems very calm for an 8 month old. It's been a while since we've had a pet, so he's a welcome addition to our lives, and seems to know that we saved his little butt! Have a great week!!

Aww Hoops, that must have been an emotional time for you. Today is Bekah's last day as a HS freshman ... hard to believe it has been a year since we were sorting out her MS graduation stuff. It's flown by. Luckily, she likes HS a lot more than MS so it's not been bad for her.
Forced myself to get out and run last night for the first time in well over a week. Glad I did. I needed a non-crappy run to prove to myself I can still do it. Now if I could just get myself back into some level of consistency ...

Last night I took my son to pick out a tux for his grade 8 graduation, which is in three weeks. I think I kept it together on the outside, but OMG, I was an absolute puddle on the inside. He looked so grown up! I was busting with pride at what a dapper little man he's become, but also I was saddened at the thought that my baby is no longer a baby! Aren't emotions fun?? Anyway, tux shopping was a success, then we went to the local gym and signed him up for a membership. He's been flexing in front of the mirror lately... I wonder if there's a girl involved (teehee).

Don - Finishing a half marathon must be a wonderful feeling, great job!!
I've been having a difficult time popping in too :( I'm playing ball for two teams, and my son is playing for two teams, as well as playing hockey, so we're at the diamond or arena almost every day, which isn't leaving much time for other things! We're having a lot of fun though :)
