If you enjoy walking as your cardio workout, try Leslie Sansone's 'Walk away the pounds' videos. I have like 8-9 of them. It is like walking but you can do it inside with a small amount of space. She has them starting at a 30 minute workout at a slower pace to get you started. Then you can get more advanced.
Also, Richard Simmons' "Sweatin' to the Oldies" DVDs are good cardio. He is a little weird but his programs are designed with the heavy, out-of-shape people in mind. (low impact, easier to modify)
I don't blame you for not wanting to walk after dark! Heck, I don't want to do anything after dark :)
If money is the issue, search YouTube for either of these. I better something is out there.
