Hey Pretzel, welcome to SP! Sounds like you have the whole eating thing down! I hope you have a great trip to Colorado! Water aerobics sounds fun, but I don't have anywhere close to me to do it, plus I'm a bit shy about my body. I mainly do walking which helps; I'm hoping to move up to jogging eventually. Good luck with all of your goals!
Glad you are here. You sound like you are really committed to eating better and exercising. I also find when I plan ahead I am much less likely to make bad decisions. Jump right in and take advantage of all the information and resources available on this site.

I am pre-diabetic but had a diabetic problem from an injury and had to take insulin for almost a month for that. Now I am OK but my Dr. said because I am 74 I could get it again if I am not careful about sugar and weight. My goals are to log my food daily for this week, and exercise at least 4 days out of 7. I did one hour at the gym with my trainer today and then I do water aerobics usually 2 days a week. BUT, this week I cannot because we are going on a trip to Colorado for a week and a half. Traveling is challenging, I will take hard boiled eggs, celery and carrots for the plane ride and at the hotel and we are asking for a small refrig and microwave in the room so we can do simple meals. Going out I will have to make healthy choices...
