Type 1! On pump! A green Animas Ping right now, to be precise.
My diagnosis started in 1997, when I was 17, but it really took about 6 years to get an accurate diagnosis. The doctors that I was initially dealing with apparently had no idea that sometimes, type 1 happens to teenagers and adults and sometimes, the pancreas takes a while to shut down (called "honeymooning") so I was "type 2" all through college. Sort of. I think my D could be classified as LADA. I definitely have some insulin resistance, more like type 2, but tests confirm that my pancreas IS in fact broken.
