DOALLEN is right. Also, you might look at your new eating habits as a lifestyle change and not a diet. I too have struggled most of my life with a weight problem. I'm finding that changing the way I eat has to be a lifestyle change and not a temporary diet.

You have come to the right place! You will find a caring and supportive community here with plenty of others going through the same thing. I've known plenty of people who have had success with various diets, but as soon as they come off the diet and return to their old habits the weight comes back. The only way is to change our habits for life by changing the way we view eating and exercise and learning to eat healthier and live healthier. It may take a little longer to get the weight off this way, but if you stick with the Spark People community you will never be alone in your journey. You will also find a lot of good resources here, including exercises for all levels of abilities and recipes for all needs. I love these challenges because they are a good way to jump start your program, and you can join and rejoin or join other challenges along the way whenever you need a fresh boost. Good luck to you. I know you will do great!

I've been dieting since I was 14. I've been up and down so many times I'm not surprised that I stay dizzy all the time. There's not a diet program out there that I haven't tried. But I came across this program and it looked very interesting and had possibilities. My goal is to be healthy and feel better. Also, I'm diabetic 2 and need all the help I can get. I liked the title, when I hear or see the word "diet" I automatic think failure. Hurry up and get to your goal so you can go back to eating what you want and when you want. And the cycle starts all over again. The time frame also peak my interest 8 weeks and the word challenge. I need to lose 150 lbs. I immediately think no way but 8 weeks and the word challenge makes me feel hopeful. That if I take the challenge there's a possibility I could lose anywhere from 8 to 16 lbs during this challenge. My journey to losing 150 lbs begins with that first challenge. If all this sounds like not working with all oars in the water give me a break it's 4:30 am. Blessings
