Welcome (back). Remember that you only need one Day 1 to be the start of a lifelong journey to health. Good luck.

I haven't posted my weight lose yet because it's been so slow and now it's about to come to a crawl because I got so many aches and pains that it's hard for me to do what I used to do.But I'm gonna push cause as long as I maintain and manage my weight I won't go back on meds. It's difficult when your over 50 and hurt. But it's also encouraging to have friends help and SP.

thanks for the encouragement...havent gotten on any meds yet so trying to prevent that occurence...and it's wonderful to know from those of you who have made the cahgne that it does work!!!!emoticon

The longer it takes it to come off the longer it will stay off!

The longer you keep it off the harder it is to put it back on!

Thank you for the wonderful report. It is inspiring to read about how successful you have been. I'm hoping my next A1C will be in the 6's as a result of my changed lifestyle.

Hello everyone, I joined Spark People back in Feb of 2011. I have not posted since I joined, just never could seem to get motivated to post my progress. I have been very motivated to control my diabetes this year, it just finally clicked after many years that a lifestyle change was the only way I could manage my Type 2 Diabetes. I am now down from my highest weight of 254 lbs several years ago to 193 and still motivated to keep eating right and exercising. My last AIC was 6 down from 7.4 and as of my last MD appointment about 1 month ago, I am off Amaryl and only taking Metformin now. Oh Happy day !!!, never thought that would happen ! So to all who are new to this forum, feel like it's struggle and that you cannot do it, take heed, you can win the battle if you just remember, it's all about your mind set.
