I was just 'running' but I started following a specific training plan. I am using Jeff Galloway's but there are a ton out there. Knowing exactly what I need to do each day has helped me a lot!

Wow, that is quite impressive! Way to go! emoticon

My whole family ran a 5K today, and everyone got a PR except me. For my oldest son, it was his first 5K so PR was by default :^) - and it was actually a decent time, considering he had done no training and walked at least half. The other two boys bested their times by a couple minutes. It was my husband's 2nd 5K and he got to run the entire thing (walked quite a bit with a cramping kid last time) and did WAY better.

I have committed to "running" a 5k race once a month for the whole year, 12 in all! I didn't do a race in January to get a month of training under my belt but I have done one each month since. In my race on Saturday I cut my Personal Record down by 6 minutes! I am so excited and so proud to be making improvements!

Still slow but I will take it!
Looking for a race in May!
