I ran the ING 5k for the American Cancer Society last year and raised over $600. This April I am running a 5k to benefit an organization that works with disadvantaged youth in New Haven. In May I am running the CT Race in the Park to benefit the CT Breast Health Initiative. I find that I am more motivated to train and run the race if it is for a charity.

My 1st charity race was for CASA (court appointed special advocates) for children in child protective services, and now I do it every year.

I'm doing my 1st wounded warrior 1/2 marathon in June. It's for post 9/11 war vets who were injured. I just think this is such a good charity, I'm really looking forward to the race.

That is so wonderful! I love when we can help a good charity and do something good for us to.

I am participating in the Koman Race for the Cure 5k in Rogers Arkansas. It will be my first charity race. I have been very successful with fund raising and I am running to honor my friend who had been a 3 year survivor of Breast cancer.

I participated in he March of Dimes Walk for Babies in the fall. It was a lot of fun, I'd have to say the BEST 5k I participated in.

Enjoy it

Hugs!
Krystie

A group of us at work have made a team of about 12 people to complete the March of Dimes 5K. It is a great way to get everyone involved and many people who planned to walk are now thinking about running some! Go Team!!!
