i agree, I'm thinking the shoes. I use the routine as a guideline. A marathoner gave me some really good advice once - "Listen to your body. If it doesn't feel like running slow down or pack it in and go home and go out another day." Also it sounds like you need to up your sugar livel to give you the energy to go out. I eat half a bagel with peanut butter and jam one hour before every walk - the perfect combo of protein and carbs to get me out the door.

You can take this program and tweak it to your needs. Also, have you been fitted with proper running shoes. If you are running in the wrong shoe for your foot type it can cause discomfort.

I signed up for this team a while ago but never got the motivation to actually do the routine (common problem) I am now walking 3 days a week in the AM. But my walk takes me longer than the 30 min routine here.... is it okay for me to walk the first part and jog back? The first half of my fun run us about a 250" climb so its rough walking, let alone jogging. Also, today I was walking and got a cramp across the TOP of my foot, like seriously went across my toes and down the side of my foot, any ideas on what might have caused it?

Working towards a better me one day at a time.
