You mentioned Apple products, which I don't have either, but I have an android phone and got the apps on that. If you don't have that either, maybe look for some podcasts you could download to your iPod (I've never owned one of those, but I assume you can do that). Or you could even make your own music mixes with prompts when its time to walk/run.
Or someone suggested the Gymboss, I looked into that, its not expensive.
