I think it just depends on how well you are progressing. Several years ago, I started C25k in the middle of March and ran my first 5k the beginning of May. I was only 6 weeks into the program. Ran nonstop in 35:43

I don't think you are crazy. You know what it takes more than anyone to keep yourself motivated. This program is a 8 week program, so you should be close at that time. You don't have to win the race, just set a goal to finish it without walking. Or to run atleast 1/2 of it.

Hi! I just joined this team yesterday, and am very new to running. I am on Week 1, Day 1 right now. I decided the only way I was going to be able to motivate myself to keep at it (because I know it will be hard at first) is to sign up for a 5K. We don't have many in our area, so it was tough to find one that was supporting a cause I could get behind. I found a Share the Road 5K and fun walk on September 15th. That is a little more than 7.5 weeks away. Do you think it is possible to train for it in that amount of time? If I train regularly like the program says, would I be out of my mind to try a 5k in such a short amount of time?
