You're just trying to build your endurance right now so don't worry about getting faster. During your 5k, you can either keep to the intervals or you can try and run it all or you can run till you feel like you need to walk a few minutes, or whatever.
You do your first 5k, you get the feeling of accomplishment no matter how you finished and you get better from there.

So how do you just run without stopping? I feel like I haven't prepared to do that! Is that what you all are doing or are you still going at 4/1 and adding intervals until you reach your 5k finish line?
Also, I have been doing about a 16 min mile and at the intervals that week 8 has, I have only gotten up to 2.75 mi, should I be concerned? I can't quite get myself to go any faster. Should I have been adding intervals until I got to 3.1 all along??
