I try through the nose to breath but it is so hard. Maybe if i drink water before my run/walk it will help. I was told to run through the burn and that will train my lungs, but not really sure if i believe that!
Are you breathing through your mouth? If so can you try breathing some of the time through your nose? Breathing through your nose might help to add a little moisture to the air before it gets to your lungs. Also, are you staying hydrated when you run??

I work out 7 days a week for 1 1/2 hrs each am. before work. Also additional evening workouts on Tues, Thursday and sat by doing additional 2 hours of water aerobics. I have just started to add in my 5k training attempting to walk /run on mon wed fri and sun. But find the lung burn a killer. what tips if any can you give to help learn the correct breathing? I tried gum and a couch drop, but was afraid with my heavy breathing i would swallow it ( lol). But for the breathing i would be able to really go much farther. my legs feel great just the lungs. any tips PLEASe
