Thanks for the link LADYOFASU09! That's an awesome resource!
Kaizen, Japanese for "continuous improvement" or "change for the better," refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes. Kaizen is a daily process of making changes and monitoring results, then adjusting as needed.
active.com is awesome! you can search any area, nationwide, where ever. it gives you info on any type of event, including 5ks, 10ks, marathons, centuries, etc. they also have training plans and can help you find cycling/running clubs in your area. Even if you come across a 5k from another source, a lot of them share a link back to active.com because that's where you have to register....at least for every 5k I've been in.
Do you have a local running store in your area? They advertise them.
What about on the internet? Look up 5ks in your area.
Newspapers will advertise them too if they are for charities.
Life IS Good!!
I live in a kind of remote area - the Olympic Peninsula (near Seattle) and do NOT go to Seattle unless it is a true life or death situation. I really want to do a 5k before June, but have no idea where to find one. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance!
