I started this program almost a year ago. I work two jobs and had to really work at fitting in the training. There were so many set backs but this was something I really wanted to do. I turned 50 last year. On my 40th birthday I jogged 2 miles. Then I was in a wreck and couldn't jog for several months and hadnt got back into it jogging when I was well enough. For my 50th birthday I wanted to run 3 miles. I made the 3 mile mark a couple of weeks after my birthday, but still I made it. When I jogged in my 20s I could never do 4 miles. And in my 50's I finally did!
I almost never post anything to this site. Well, two jobs and trying to jog when I (plus housework, grocery shoping, ect.) doesn't leave a lot of time. I just wanted to tell someone and this seemed the perfect place. And I wanted to tell you not to give up. If I can do it (and I DID!), so can you.
Five miles - here I come.
