Thanks again, I just went there and found a number of races in my area, and found that I can register at the Runner shop. You have been very helpful.

My daughter moved to TX in 2008 - lived on Route 360 - then to Mansfield and are now in Burleson - I'm somewhat familiar w/the area....

Irene, whoops, yes, Arlington, TX.

Janet, thank you for the ideas. We do have a store called "the Runner" just up the street and they often have advertisements outside of races. I haven't made it to my 5K yet, still waiting for my insoles. Then I will start training again.

You can try Active.com and search 5Ks in your city. Also google 5Ks in your city, that should bring up races. Finally, you can go to a local running store and ask what races are coming up.

Does anyone know a website where I can look for upcoming walking/running events in my area? I can already walk a 5k, but I want to actually enter a race.
