Are you talking about the progress tracker that shows at the bottom of posts and on the sparkpage?

Does anyone know what I'm supposed to be putting in the window that comes after you choose a character and your background to record your progress? I think that is where and why I am unable to get this to work. Thanks!

Janet - Thanks so much for your help. I added the mileage tracker to my fitness page and now I can track my distance.

Appreciate your guidance. Have an emoticon weekend.

Rellimtenaj, Thanks so much for the info. I will give it a try. There is a lot to get used to doing on this site, but I really believe it is the best for me. So far I am losing 1 pound a week. YAY!!

Connie, one of the things I have found most helpful for me is to use the "manually enter calories burned" button on the "add cardio" window. I can control more that way instead of Spark choosing speed and calories burned which are usually off quite a bit for me. So if you can get your calories burned from you TM, give this a try.

When you enter the info into your training log you can delete it from the cardio section of your fitness page and enter it manually if you want a more accurate entry.

Hope this helps.

Sure and thanks. I do the treadmill 3x a week. I do a fast walk at 3.7 mph and for 1 hr. I try to put in under 'my fitness' and sometimes (like today) I can't get it to accept. I just left it for the time being. Thanks again. Connie

Hey.... I'm having a hard time trying to record my excercise (cardio) also. I'm sure my age
had nothing to do with it! Hah! It took me a bit to get this message out to you. (Whoever
you are). I am newly joined. Been at it since Sept. This is the only thing that I have been
able to stick to.

Is distance tracking the same as mileage tracking?

@GOGEMMA & KINEPS~ You need to have distance tracking set on your fitness page by clicking on edit fitness goals. Once you do that you will be able to track your training.

@ELATEDLOSER ~ Just track any extra weeks you feel you need to do on your fitness tracker as you are doing. And YES you will be able to add your 5K to the training log and get your trophy when you complete it.

If you are doing one of the virtual 5Ks then you will want to enter the info there as well. Double check your fitness page and make sure you don't have a double entry for it though.

You enter your time for the actual 5k race on a different page - if you go to this link:

http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/virtu
al-race-home.asp

It lists all of the 'races' that you can participate in. I've been doing 1 mile walks - just to get my time down.

Hope this helps.

I'm having problems because I want to take an extra week...it won't let me do a week over. I'll use my tracker. But when I go to do my 5K will it let me track it?

I get it as well -- I forgot to track a week and now I can't go back and add it in. I tried leaving the team and coming back and it still doesn't work. I just track on my fitness page.
