I clean with Peroxide and then use triple-antibiotic (generic works just as good as Neosporin)
A bandaid then acts as a cushion against more pain.

Good Luck!

I use neosporine or vaseline and put a bandaid on them. I also make sure to wear socks that cover them and wont move or go down in my shoe. When I wear my running shoes I tie them a little more snug then I normally would. This seems to help me.

To treat the blisters, since they popped, you can go ahead and use some Neosporin and that will help them heal. Also you can take the bandage off at night or when you are home and barefoot so the area can dry out.

To be able to wear shoes without pain, either get some Second Skin which has gel pads that you can cut to size which will cushion the area (I've used this a lot). The other thing you can do is cut a donut out of mole skin that will go around the area and work as a cushion as well.

Blisters on heels come from shoes that don't fit correctly. They not only slip, but rub as well. You might need to look into changing how you tie your shoes to pull the heel tighter if they slip a lot. You can google how to tie your running shoes.

I had one blister on each heel from Wedesday, but I have special blister-prevention socks that I thought would be okay for my walk today. Wrong! The large one on my right heel popped during my walk and smarts somethin' fierce! The left one was much smaller, but popped and bled a small amount on my sock. I checked the health topics a-z on this site for treatment, but I was wondering if anyone had a home remedy for the pain? I have washed them with soap and water and bandaged without any topical treatments. I'm also broke, so if anyone has a suggestion for something that may be common household item or items, I would greatly appreciate it. emoticon
