Take pictures that feature the areas you are most interested in seeing progress.
As for measurements, the usuals are chest, waist, hips, but sometimes you can see more progress in upper arms, thighs, calves and neck. Where ever you take the measurements, be consistant... across the nipples, at your belly button, 7" below your waist measurement, etc.
