It took me 2 years and an attorney before I got to the judges outer office. Never saw the judge, his secretary came in and told me I'd been approved. The standard procedure is that they deny twice, then send you to the hearing, at which time they usually approve (hope that information helps). By the time they have put you through 2 denials, they figure they have discouraged all the bad claims, and what's left is the real thing. Hope she is as lucky as as was. Fran

Mine was 4 years. Went to the meeting sick with the flu and my granddaughter was with me sick as well. He watched me trying to get up off the chair to tend to her as I was so weak. I got it. I don't know about where you are but the people that review your applications are Nurses not Doctor's in my area.
I WILL SUCCEED BECAUSE I KNOW I CAN DO IT AND I AM MOTIVATED.
Prayers for her. I can feel the pain and frustration she's been going through. I also have Fibromyalgia as well as arthritis throughout my body. It took me many years and many times of applying for disability but it finally came through. The stress from everything is terrible and definitely adds more pain etc to the entire situation. Best to her.

Hi everyone, My daughter Johanna has lupus and fibro and is quite ill, always a lot of pain and has a hard time doing anything. She has filed for disability and keeps getting denied, but tomorrow (after 2 years) she finally has a hearing. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that it goes through. I'm sure the stress of all this as well as the financial burden of her not being able to work has exacerbated a lot of what she's going through. Thank you all...and I will update after we find out how tomorrow goes.
Blessed be. Becky
