I will keep them crossed for you. I'm not doing too much but some walking as I fell and then almost fell again but twisted my back instead by shovelling the day before yesterday. Spent all afternoon in bed yesterday and my lower back is kicking up pain today. I am not going to give up though. What makes me mad about falling is after I shovelled what I needed to they didn't plow our lot and still haven't. All the other lots in our complex are done but my side. Not Happy. I Am going To Keep emoticon Smiling. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Today I talked myself out of going to the gym, because I had many errands that had to be run, but keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow I will be at the gym for sure.

I just know that if I can get this darn weight off, it will be easier for me to get along. I have now decided that I am determined to go back to the gym. I may not be able to do all the exercises that I want, but I will start slow and go from there. Bev

Boy can I relate to that. I do lots of my excercises on the bed, that way I can get and off the bed when I want to. Getting on the floor is a challenge, as well as getting up.

I had to sit on the floor at my granddaughters Roller Derby practice on Sunday for the first 45 minutes. That was a nightmare getting down there and then my granddaughter found the chair I usually sit on and had fun trying to get up. Had to use the chair. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I agree I cannot kneel on my knees either. My mother only takes a bath, but will take shower after the bath to wash everything away. She is a piece of work.

Since I had my knees done can't get in the tub for a bath or need help getting back out as can't kneel on my knees. I'd love to just get in and soak as I don't feel as clean as a bath. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

i am sure any bath is relaxing and refreshing, but if I get in the tub, I have a difficult time getting out, so I have to shower only. I will check on the sea salt and will let you know what I find out. Bev

I haven't figured that one out either. Was told Sea Salt was better for you that regular salt. Also a Sea Salt bath is very relaxing. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

All is as well as can be expected. I didn't monitor my sodium this week and I gain 2 lbs. Oh well, back to monitoring the sodium. I don't know the difference between regular salt and Sea salt. Bev

I am on the 13 week challenge to get 1 lb off a week. In the 3 weeks I have lost 3.2 lbs and I hope I can lose something this week. Have my fingers crossed. Have you considered monitoring your sodium? That could be your up and down problem. It was for me. I had a gentleman at WW gain 10 lbs, I checked his journal and I noted his sodium and he had over 4500 mg of sodium a day and he should keep it down to 1500. That was his weight gain. He is monitoring his sodium this week, so I am curious to see how he does on Wed. Bev

grammanic-- I hope your shots will help. My Dad is 85 years old and had knee replacement surgery a while back. At his age we were worried but he came through it with flying colors. Good luck to you.

grammamic - Diet_friend started the challenge on team 50+members with 50 -99 pounds to lose, and the challenge is called 2013 challenge 13 pounds in 13 weeks. I hope you can join it. It has really motivated me and I am staying focused because I know when I weight in on Wed at WW it will make me feel good to put down that I have lost. Great feeling, having felt this good in a long time. I have lost the past 3 weeks and that is a trend for me. Haven't lost 3 weeks in a row for some time. Now shooting for 4 weeks. I have a Pancake breakfast here in the Park on Saturday and I will have Sunday, Mon and Tues to make sure I lose on Wed. Keeping my fingers crossed. Join the challenge, it will help you.Bev

Haven't joined any challenges yet. Just returned from my 2nd Supartz injections. The 1st ones left me with quite a bruise on my right knee. (no problem on the left) But i was able to get the 2nd dose. MD just gave the injection on the inner side instead. Fingers crossed that this works. Kenalog did nothing. What challenge is helping so much?

All you ladies seem to have had such good luck with the surgeries. I know I have to lose quite a bit of weight before they will even consider me, but I know it is in the cards for me down the road. Glad to hear all the good stores.

I had two total knee replacements 3 days apart and I wouldn't have it done any other way. I had my very first knee replacement in 2004 (just 1 knee) and then I had both knees replaced in 2006 and I would rather have them done both at the same time than just one at a time. I've never regretted having them both done together (3 days apart) - - to me it was actually easier. I was able to get 129 degree bend within just a few months after the surgery in both knees which, according to the doctor, is more than a lot of people have that have never had a knee replacement done!!! Go for it!! Just be sure that you do your exercises!!!!

I have had both my knees replaced. One 8 years ago and one 7 years ago. I am so glad I had the surgery. I was walking with a cane and had trouble going up and down stairs. Now I can get around anywhere. I love walking and I have no problems.

I had both total knee replacements 6 months apart. Best thing I ever did. I injured my knees in 1974. They kept deteriating over the years and when I was 47 I was told I had to wait until I was 55 before they would do them. I am now 57 and can walk my granddaughter to school and play with the other 5 which I couldn't do for a long time.
