I think you really need to find a way to exercise without putting pressure and/or resistance on your knee. The only way I know of to do that is water exercises - but if you haven't tried chair exercises you are missing a good bet. There are DVD programs out there that will help. Give them a try - and as I was told a long time ago - try exercising your arm a little less.

Thank you. I would live to try water exsersices, but we don't have a cub in my town, there are a lot if lakes nd creeks but mountain water hurts my joints. I use to love going swimming now I would just float around for hours with my BF. but now when I get in the water my joints hurt for a few hours till I thaw out lol

I have been using my Iso system every day, it is a workout ball with resistance bands, thst really helps loosen me up since I was so stiff in the am.
Thanks for the advice though I live in a small town and have to drive a hour or more to any place bigger or any place with civilization as my hubby puts it. But I really live our collage track. Our collage is really well know for it forestry classes and it is awsome we were able to get the nice track. I have notice a big differance walking the track or just walking say on sidewalk. The track has less resistance I guess is the word. I have been walking at least 4 laps a nite but nite before last I was on my 6 th laps and my knee gave out. I haven't been able to do much other than my stretches since. I am hoping my knee doc will get me a new brace that is fitted better. If I had the correct support I think I could do better.

There are also chair exercises that you can do as well. Good luck!

Blessed be.

I have been doing all my workouts and walks for the last few months but now the last several days I have had to miss several. My knee and back have been causeing so much pain. I have tryed differant braces for my knee but the more I walk the more I limb the more it causes spasms in my back. Saw the doc yesterday and he is sending me back to my knee doc but I already know there is not much he can do since all the cartilage is gone from my knee already and i have not been able to loose the weight to have the partial or total knee surgery done. I dont know how I am going to continue to loose weight if my knee is stopping me from working out. I have still been able to do my stretching with my resistance bands and workout ball but that doesnt burn many calories. How do I keep going when my knee cant keep up with me?
Anyone know what exsersices or workout are the best to still work on loosing the weight if I am unable to walk every nite?
