I did do my 30 minute stretching with my ball, resistance bonds and 2 lb weight today but I gave my self the nite off of walking. Getting back in tommarrow

Mamma Bearz - - Yes, you lost "only" 2# in 2 weeks, BUT remember one thing - you did not gain 2#. Don't be so hard on yourself. There are also exercises that you can do in a chair which would take a lot of the stress off of your knees. I've got bilateral knee replacements and I can't get down on the floor either or they would need a crane to help me get up! BUT, I'm slowly (very slowly) losing weight - - just baby steps!! That's ok. If you're taking baby steps, you are NOT walking backwards. And, if we should happen to fall, then we get back up and keep up with those baby steps until we can get our physical or medical health back in order in order to take a little bit bigger step once in a while in between those baby steps. There's nothing wrong with baby steps.

Just remember!! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!!! Keep you head up and keep smiling! emoticon Together, emoticon Remember, you aren't alone!! Together

Hi and welcome I have the same problem. But i most be honest with you. There some exercise that i have tried to do, that cause me more pain then results. I am learning that i have to do exercise that i am going to benefit from.I also can not do them on the floor because i have a hard time getting up. So i am going to buy a exercise bench.I find that people like us need to explore other types of route that can help. Here on spark people in the search box you can explore other option. Just don't give up. emoticon

Good morning how is everyone today? I am good but irritated Last night I was doing my walk and on my 6th lap my knee gave out. I couldnt finsh my 8 laps I do on my non aerobic day. But Old ART has other ideas. Had a doc appt. this am and I lost 2lbs and am disappointed it was only 2 in the 2 weeks since my last appt. I get toradol shots every other week. It does help with Art, If you dont know what toradol is, it is a very strong anti-inflammatory. My doc is having me do a set of x-rays because it has been a year since I saw my knee doc. I am hoping he can get me a better brace. My biggest issue is not having enough support for my knees, My good brace is 12 yrs old LOL and my Primary doc gave me a few little braces 2 weeks ago but they just dont support well. But I am interested to see what my Finally last year he flat out told me he cant do anything else unless I loose the weight. I left that appt crying. THe doc told me the truth and I did not want to hear it at the time. I remember feeling like he did liked me cause of my weight.
But now I get what he was saying. He has done 6 scopes and one distal/proxal realighnment, I was too embarrassed to go to phyical theraphy I did want to be there with a lot of people, It is like workout in the gym same feeling. All this time the doc has been doing al lhe can to ease the pain and repair my knee but I did not do my part and beause of that more damage has been done. If i had started to loose the weight years ago maybe my knee wouldnt be so far gone. I hope I can get him to see how hard I have been working, even if it has only been 3 months.Well I just got to keep doing my workouts and walking and hope that he will see that I am goingto do this and not give up.
