Certain supplements can help with some people, Glucosamine and Chondroitin (combined) works with some but not with others. I would be inclined to ask your Dr if it would react with anything that you are on, and if it doesn't, then try it. I gather from those I know who use it, it takes a month or so to start to show positive effects, and none of those I know who take it have had a negative reaction. Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements and New Zealand green lipped mussels (it NEEDS to be NZ GLM) can also be effective, With ALL of them you need to check with the Dr because they CAN interact with some medications, AND if you have any fish/shellfish allergies, don't use them.
Tart cherry juice works quite well for arthritis. Be sure it is TART and also not a coctail cherry juice. It MUST BE tart cherry juice. If the store you go to doesn't have it, they will order it for you. Pineapple juice is also used for inflammation.
