Hi,
Thank you everyone for your feedback, I hadn't tried massage, but I will, I am also hoping that losing some weight will give me release. I sincerely hope you all find something that will help.
Thanks Thelma

You got most of the suggestions already but I have found chiropractic care to be helpful at keeping me moving. Of course I have to do my exercises every day.

I have the same problem with arthritis in both my ankles and feet. Sometimes it's really painful. I also have to keep my feet up, wear special orthotic shoes and insoles. I've also found that messaging my feet and ankles seems to help also. Walgreens has a very inexpensive messager and has special attahments that actually will let you get in between the toes as well.

Thanks Becky,
I have that problem too, I always sit with my feet up, as I have high blood pressure too, my GP has just changed one of my meds to try and stop my ankles swelling. This problem has only appeared about a week ago.

Also, try to make sure that you put your feet up when you do sit if at all possible, which helps keep fluid from building up. The fluid can add pressure around the joints which also causes pain. Good luck!

Blessed be.

Hi,
Thanks for replying so soon, I'd never heard of this before I got it, I have tried wearing a tubigrip bandage to keep it warm and supported, this does help a little, but I walk quite a bit and going on holiday regularly on coach trips means walking quite a bit more. I am overweight and trying to reduce by changing my way of eating and also using an exercise bike, I have only had this for about a week though so it hasn't made much difference yet. Have you found anything which helps?

Hi!
I also have arthritis in both ankles and at loss with what to do about it. I have always been very active and until recently never overweight. It's hard to exercise when in pain and fear of making my ankles worse.

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on this spark team for a long while now, sorry about that, I have arthritis in my hips and knees and I have been coping quite well with this, without medication too, now I have it in my left ankle and this is affecting my walking and also irritating my knee. Has anyone any advice on this? I would love to hear from anyone.
Thanks, Thelma
